MUMBAI :
An initiative by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which begins on Jan 17th, 2025, and goes on until 22nd Jan, 2025, will this time around, be spread across three venues: Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, and India Expo Center & Mart, Greater Noida. The three venues will have nine+ concurrent shows in a total area measuring 2 lakh + sqm with 5000+ global buyers and that’s not all… the number of visitors this year is expected to cross the 5 lakh+ mark, almost double of what Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 saw earlier in February this year.
Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 aims to showcase to the world not just India’s renowned engineering prowess and their cutting-edge technologies, but also India’s growth as a mobility hub while also looking at attracting investments, trade and export.
After advertising about Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 at AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo) in Las Vegas and Automechanika in Dubai, Pankaj Chadha, Chairperson, EEPC (Engineering Export Promotion Council) says that this time around they have “good expectations,” and considering that “the event is in three venues [with]… more exhibitors… more visitors… it will be bigger and better.”
Chadha also goes on to say that “India is the flavour of the season. People are looking at India and want to see what India has to offer, either from an export point of view or from an import point of view.” With 34 prominent vehicle manufacturers unveiling new models from both domestic and international companies and with more than 800 auto component manufacturers and 1000 brands from over 13 global markets exhibiting their products and technologies, it sure will have something for everyone participating as well as visiting.
Amongst the countries that are expected to arrive with overseas delegations and visitors include Germany, UK, France, Norway, Spain, Czech Republic, Russia, USA, Mexico, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Iran. “We have had a lot of Japanese interest and some Bulgarian interest too,” says Chadha. “There is a whole list of people that are coming with their corporations and their big delegations. We also have country pavilions at the Automotive Component Show where six countries are having their pavilions where they will showcase what they have and I’m sure [will] buy from us also,” says Chadha.
About the participation of other countries from the Indian sub-continent, Chadha says, “Nepal is coming in with a big delegation. NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) Automobiles Association of Nepal which is their premiere automobile authority are getting a lot of people. I think you should see close to 300 people from Nepal coming for this event. Sri Lanka is definitely coming in with a bigger contingent, Bangladesh, I don’t know… considering their political situation. So, I see a fairly good traction with our neighbours.”
When asked about what the youth could look forward to at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Chadha says “Let’s see what new models come up. A lot of interest would be in electric passenger vehicles. We are having buses that are electric, heavy vehicles that are electric, and I think we are also looking at construction equipment vehicles also that are electric. Besides there are e-scooters and e-bicycles. Urban mobility is also going to be an interesting factor, so there are a lot of things that are happening.”
When asked if he could envisage Bharat Mobility Global Expo happening at another venue, in another city such as Mumbai, in the coming years, Chadha said “The size and the scale of the operation looks like Delhi is best suited for it because Delhi has the venues for it, but “never say never.””
