MUMBAI :
Recently, Jaguar Land Rover grabbed a lot of eyeballs by making the announcement about the locally produced flagship Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models at its Pune factory in India. This decision by the British luxury marque has brought down the pricing of both these SUVs by nearly 20 percent in the Indian market. The made-in-India Range Rover and Range Rover Sport would now be retailed at INR 2.36 Crore and INR 1.40 Crore, respectively, in the domestic market. Located in an exclusive luxury setting in Alibaug, on the Konkan Coast, the Range Rover House will display the Made-in-India Range Rovers, which will be exclusive to Indian buyers. The local production of both these models would also ensure shorter waiting periods thereby delighting the clientele of the brand. JLR India currently manufactures Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar F-PACE and Discovery Sport at its Pune facility in Maharashtra.
