BGauss, the RR Kabel-backed global EV brand, recently launched its second offering in the Indian market in the form of RUV (Rider Utility Vehicle) 350. BGauss has sales network in 85+ countries globally with over 25,000+ retail outlets and 13 production facilities. The BGauss RUV 350 e-scooter offers multiple segment-first features and utilities and goes up against the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Ola S1 in the Indian market.

BGauss RUV 350 has been entirely developed and manufactured at the company’s Chakan plant, in Pune, India. Introduced in three variants namely 350i EX, 350 EX, and 350 Max at price points of INR 1.10 lakh, INR 1.25 lakh and INR 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively, the overall appearance of the scooter is somewhat inspired from the step-through scooters that we see frequently in several South-East Asian countries. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and has the biggest storage space for a helmet in its segment. Other striking design elements include micro-alloy tubular frame, metal body panels and an LED headlamp to name a few. It is available in five vibrant color schemes. Some of the notable features onboard are a 5-inch Smart TFT display with Bluetooth, Cruise Control Reverse Mode, Hill Hold, Turn by Turn Navigation, Call Notification, Live Vehicle Tracking, Geo Fencing, and an Immobiliser.

The RUV 350 gets an IP67 rated 3 kWh lithium battery pack which transmits power to a 3.5 kW electric motor. The base and mid variants, 350i EX and 350 EX, have a range of 90 km on a single charge while the range-topping 350 Max trim runs close to 120 km on a single charge. All the three variants have a standard top speed of 75 kmph and peak torque performance of 165 Nm. The scooter can be charged upto 80 percent from standstill in 5 hours via a 500W charger.

The RUV 350 boasts of drum brakes at front as well as rear. The suspension duties are helmed by a telescopic fork upfront while there is a twin shock absorber setup at the rear end.

The company is offering multiple introductory benefits to buyers of Bgauss RUV 350, such as free insurance and extended warranty of battery, worth nearly INR 10,000. Deliveries of BGauss RUV 350 in India will start from July 2024 onwards.
