Ather Energy Limited, a leader in India's electric two-wheeler market, has unveiled the new Eight70TM Warranty for its Ather 450 series and the Rizta scooters, in partnership with Reliance General Insurance. This groundbreaking warranty aims to reassure customers about the long-term health and performance of their electric scooter batteries.
The Eight70TM Warranty offers a comprehensive package, promising coverage for up to 8 years or 80,000 kilometers—whichever comes first.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, emphasized the importance of battery reliability for electric vehicle (EV) buyers. “Battery durability is a crucial factor for EV buyers. We often hear about customers' apprehensions regarding the longevity and replacement costs of the batteries of their electric scooters. Understanding this concern, we have introduced our new Eight70TM Warranty, which provides 70% battery health assurance up to 8 years. We believe that this warranty will eliminate any worries and concerns EV buyers may have regarding the long term health of their scooter batteries.” he stated.

Ather’s commitment to quality is evident in its rigorous testing protocols, with each battery undergoing 272 tests, including temperature and mechanical drop tests. The company’s advanced Battery Management System continuously monitors battery performance, ensuring safe operation.
The Eight70TM Warranty is available as an add-on for three years beyond the standard five-year battery warranty included in Ather’s pro-pack. Priced at INR 4,999 (including GST), this warranty is available for both the Ather 450 series and the Rizta scooters.
