Tesla has set up shop in India and their hugely successful, Model 3, is expected to be the company's first offering.
Model 3 comes in three trims; The entry level, a RWD, does 0-100 km/h in 5.3 s, the next variant, an AWD, and does 0-100 km/h in 4.2 s, and their top version, also an AWD, does 0-100 km/h in 3.1 s.
The fairly spartan cabin of the Model 3 has a 15-inch touchscreen on the dash which houses all the controls, with the option of streaming Netflix and YouTube.
Model 3's entry level version's top speed is 225 km/h, the second variant's top speed is 233 km/h and the top end version's top speed is 260 km/h.
With tech laden features such as Auto Lane Change, Navigate on Autopilot, Summon Mode and Automatic parallel & perpendicular parking, expect Model 3 to be priced between INR 55-60 lakhs.
