With a legacy that can be traced back to legendary bikes such as the GSX-R and the Hayabusa, the Gixxer, has been quite a sensation on the Indian Motorcycle scene, also featuring in blockbuster Bollywood films.
Now, in a bid to strengthen its BS-VI portfolio, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) recently launched its 250cc successor siblings, the GIXXER SF 250 and the GIXXER 250. ‘Born of Greatness’, this machine sports a high-performance engine developed exclusively for the Indian market, and employs a unique Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS).
The bike can charge ahead with a commendable power output of 26bhp@9000rpm and torque of 22.2Nm@7300Nm. With a 6-speed manual gearbox pulling the chain, this highly advanced engine provides a smooth ride even at low and mid-range speeds. With the revolutionary SOCS system at work, the bike will surely let you ‘drop a gear and disappear’ without being a gas-guzzling bike.
Keeping motorsport lovers in mind, Suzuki has also updated the MotoGP edition of the SF 250 variant to BS-VI emission norms. With more than 50% of dealerships resuming operations in India, Consumers will be able to book the bikes, and deliveries will start mid-June. The GIXXER 250, GIXXER SF 250 and the GIXXER SF 250 MotoGP will be priced at ₹1,63,000, ₹1,74,000 and ₹1,74,900 respectively.
The GIXXER 250 will be available in a monotone Metallic Matte Black No. 2, a dual-tone Metallic Matte Black, and with a Metallic Matte Platinum Silver paintjob. The GIXXER SF 250 will come in monotone Metallic Matte Black No 2 and with a monotone Metallic Matte Platinum Silver paintjob, whereas the MotoGP variant, will be available in Metallic Triton Blue. With so many options, there will be a bike to suit every rider.
