Renault India never ceases to amaze! Yet again, it has pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the new Triber Easy-R AMT. Imagine a sub-four meter vehicle that not only seats seven people, but also comes with a jaw dropping price tag of 6.18 Lakhs, and offers an AMT option! What else can one possibly ask for?

The Renault Triber, since its launch, in India, last year, has set the company’s cash registers ringing and now, the newly launched Easy-R AMT promises to be nothing short of a game changer as well, in the B-segment.

Available in three variants, RXL, RXT and the top end RXZ which comes fully loaded, with all the bells and whistles, it also boats a Smart Card Access. Add a line more about the little Smart Access Card.

The brainchild of design teams in both India and France, both exteriors and the interiors of the car look stunning. On the outside, the Renault Triber Easy-R AMT gets projector headlamps, LED DRLs, wheel-arch claddings, a chrome front grille, SUV style Skid-plates, both at the front and at the rear, and a whole bunch of stuff that can be personalised, such as equipping a roof carrier for extra luggage, alloy wheel inserts, illuminated Renault logos, illuminated scuff plate, illuminated gear knob, body graphics, interior ambient lighting and chrome inserts for the tailgate.

Inside, the interiors are minimalistic yet utilitarian, minus any frills. Besides an electric steering, there is a dual-tone dashboard with silver accents, an LED instrument cluster outlined in chrome and the air-vents and HVAC knobs also get the chrome treatment. The Renault Triber Easy-R AMT, also comes with a Remote engine Start-Stop button, a Day-Night adjustable IRVM and an auto-up, driver side power window. Not to mention, body-coloured ORVMs. The best part… the Renault Triber Easy-R AMT gets a 20.32cm infotainment system with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay!

The centre console gets a cooled storage for the person behind the wheel. The other passengers also get a cooled glove box in which they can carry their cola canisters or bars of chocolate, and this sits just below the upper glove box.

At the back, the occupants, in both the second and the third rows, can be comfortably seated thanks to well-designed AC vents. If the third row is not occupied by your friends, family or pets, you can use it for your luggage with the seats folded down.

The Renault Triber is BS-VI ready and under the hood is a peppy 3-cylinder, 1.0L engine, capable of belting out 72bhp@6250rpms while simultaneously ensuring good economy and engine performance. The engine is mated to an automatic gearbox with a Traffic Assist function which, also is switchable to manual mode should the driver choose to do so.

The safety of both the driver as well as the passengers has been well taken care of. With four airbags, and other safety must-have features such as ABS+EBD, Speed alert warning, Seatbelt reminder, Rear Parking sensor, Speed sensing door locks that unlock on detecting impact along with Pedestrian Protection for those on the road, it all seems too good to be true.

The Renault Triber is strong, durable, easy to maintain, has a ton of features onboard and offers great value for money. Simply put, there’s no real reason to think twice.
