The Ola electric scooter has been testing on Indian roads for quite some time now and the market is abuzz with talk about all that is going to be on offer. In fact, just a few days back, Ola created history by  becoming the most pre-booked scooter in the world! Crazy right? Not really. Afterall, Ola is building the World’s biggest scooter manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. You too can book yours through the company’s official website for a mere INR 499 and with so many bookings and such a high demand for their electric scooter, it remains to be seen how soon the deliveries of the Ola scooter will commence.

Ola recently revealed their colours for the e-scooter via a teaser video. The e-scooter will be offered in red, yellow, blue, purple, pink, black, white, grey and green colours. With so many colour options, the Ola e-scooter is definitely going to be a tempting proposition for many who wish to own an electric scooter.

From whatever we’ve seen of the Ola scooter so far, it looks like a very simple and clean design. There isn’t a lot of stickering going around, with the company may well go with a plain body in peppy colours. Besides the peppy colours, the most striking thing on the Ola scooter are the LED headlights that have a robot-like look on the front face of the scooter.

Based on the AppScooter from Etergo EV, we expect the Ola rebadged e-scooter to come with the same specifications. We expect the Ola scooter to be powered by a 6 kW electric motor that puts out 50 Nm of torque. As seen in some of the leaked pictures, the Ola scooter features a gorgeous colour digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The scooter also appears to come with 12-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes, both front and rear.

Ola Electric claims that their Hypercharger Network will be the largest e-scooter charging network in the world. They plan to install more than a lakh charging points across 400 cities. The company also claims that their scooter can be charged up to 50 percent in just 18 minutes, which will, in turn, result in a 75 km range. Ola will also provide a home charger with every e-scooter for the convenience of their customers.
