NEW DELHI :

After facing the hardships and hurdles presented by the global pandemic, Indian sports stars have firmly set their eyes on the Olympic medals. Opening India’s account at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 with a loud bang and winning billion hearts, Mirabai Chanu has ended the country’s 21-year long wait for an Olympic weightlifting medal by scoring a SILVER medal in the 49-kg category. For acknowledging this global achievement, HOP Electric Mobility has emerged as the first Indian electric vehicle company to felicitate this young Olympian by presenting her its latest HOP electric two-wheeler.

Speaking on this occasion, the CEO and founder of HOP Electric Mobility, Ketan Mehta said, “We understand what difficulties athletes go through. Nothing is served to them on a silver platter. Right from the start, these athletes have to train themselves, complete studies, resolve financial difficulties, compete in initial level competitions and whatnot. After tons of challenges and jaw-breaking hurdles, they finally get the opportunity to compete in the Olympics and win a medal. We at HOP are incredibly proud of our sports stars representing India at such a prestigious forum. As our humble token of gratitude, we aspire to equip Mirabai Chanu with sustainable and ecologically sound two-wheeler, which are more accessible and convenient for transportation, thus adding value to her overall independence.”

He further added, “Taking inspiration from such young and dynamic personalities hoisting the national flag on international platforms, we at HOP Electric Mobility are also feeling absolutely encouraged. Like these brilliant and hardworking athletes, we also aspire to work vigorously and put India at the forefront of the global electric vehicle and sustainable energy movement.”

Working on its vision to increase the mass adoption of sustainable products, HOP aspires to develop and deliver a variety of electric two wheelers and affiliated services to cater to the needs of Indian consumers. HOP's e-scooters have distinctive key features that are not so prevalent in the currently available electric two-wheelers in the market-- this includes High Range upto 125 km, 72V architecture, High performance Motor to climb any slope with loading capacity of 180 kg for both HOP LEO and LYF, boot space of 19.5 litres, connecting features (Internet, GPS, Mobile App) and many more. And, with the prices of petrol and diesel skyrocketing, such solutions have become far more critical than ever before.

On the back of extensive Research & Development, the HOP electric vehicle solutions offer multiple distinctive features. These include parking assistance, side stand sensor, three ride modes with reserve mode, LED console, USB charging, remote key, anti-theft alarm and anti-theft wheel lock. In addition, the e-mobility scooters also enable users to leverage accessories such as internet and GPS connectivity. The company was founded by Ketan Mehta, Nikhil Bhatia and Rahil Gupta. Ketan is currently the CEO, while Nikhil and Rahil are looking after Operations and Product Management. Hop is now a 50+ member team with Vivek Tomar joined as a Business Head, Rajneesh Singh as Head of Marketing, Avinash Choudhary as North India Regional manager, among others.

It is pertinent to mention here that the futuristic e-vehicle solutions by HOP are currently revolutionizing the Indian e-mobility space. Moreover, as the younger generation is mainly on the lookout for suitable, affordable and environmental friendly products, HOP products are ticking all the aforementioned requirement-boxes and thus are a hit among millennials and the Gen Z population.
