Mercedes-Benz India, the country’s leading luxury carmaker, has announced a staggered two-stage revision in the ex-showroom prices of its model range. The price changes will take effect in two phases—beginning June 1 and then again on September 1, 2025.
The move, described by the company as an “innovative two-stage price revision,” is aimed at providing customers the flexibility to plan their purchases in a way that aligns with their financial planning.
“This staggered price revision offers customers the flexibility to plan their purchases that matches their financial outlay,” said Mercedes-Benz India.
The decision to increase prices comes in response to a significant surge in foreign exchange rates since January 2025, which has severely impacted the cost structure of imported components and fully built units (CBUs). While the company has thus far absorbed these rising costs, it says it can no longer continue to do so without jeopardizing its operational sustainability.
“Although Mercedes-Benz has continued to absorb this steep cost increase so far, it is now compelled to pass on minimal cost onto the market, to offset the impact on operational expenses and maintain business sustainability,” the company stated.
Revised Prices from June 1, 2025:
Model | Current Price (INR Lakhs) | New Price (INR Lakhs) | Increase (INR Lakhs) |
---|---|---|---|
C 200 | 59.4 | 60.3 | 0.9 |
GLC 300 4MATIC | 76.8 | 78.3 | 1.5 |
E 200 | 79.5 | 81.5 | 2.0 |
GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line | 99.0 | 101.5 | 2.5 |
EQS SUV 450 4MATIC | 128.0 | 131.0 | 3.0 |
GLS 450 4MATIC | 133.9 | 137.0 | 3.1 |
Maybach S 680 | 347.8 | 360.0 | 12.2 |
Additional Increase from September 1, 2025:
An “on top” price hike of up to 1.5% will be implemented across the model range starting September 1, 2025.
To ease the impact of this adjustment, Mercedes-Benz is offering a range of financial solutions. These include lower EMI options and partial ownership schemes through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.
“In addition, the innovative and value-added services from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services like reduced EMI, partial ownership via STAR AGILITY, will significantly reduce any impact on customers’ cash flow, elevating their ownership experience,” the company added.
The company claims that for popular models like the GLA and GLC, the monthly EMI impact will be under INR 2,000, helping maintain affordability even with the revised pricing.
This dual-phase approach marks an effort by the luxury automaker to manage rising costs while continuing to support customer affordability and maintain strong market presence.
