The compact SUV segment in India, is a pretty crowded one, yet, it hasn’t deterred Czech carmaker, Skoda, from introducing its first sub four-meter compact SUV into the market. And why not? Afterall, Skoda has a proven track record of offering some really robust SUVs (Think Kushaq, Karoq, Kodiaq) over the past two and half decades since it entered India, and this time around, the company is chuffed about their compact SUV, the Kylaq, which looks all set to take the segment by storm. We drove the Kylaq in Goa recently, (both MT (Tornado Red) and AT (Olive Gold)) and were blown away by its road manners. Read on to know what else we loved about it… First things first. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kylaq, is not just a handsome compact SUV but also a mighty tough one, and it has both poise and performance to match. The Kylaq is all about what their designers call “Modern Solid Design Language.” The exterior styling, you will notice is typical Skoda, with the whole family resemblance look strongly reminding you of its older sibling, the Kodiaq, especially the front fascia which is split into two levels with vertical slats on
