NEW DELHI
Nawgati, the vanguard of India’s evolving fuel-tech landscape, has earned a coveted place in the Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps Programme—an accolade reserved for just 20 promising startups nationwide. This distinguished recognition sees Nawgati stand alone as the only mobility-focused application within the cohort, affirming its pivotal role in the confluence of artificial intelligence and transport infrastructure.
The programme, curated by Google to foster AI-driven innovation in application development, marks a seminal moment in Nawgati’s trajectory. The Delhi-based company has already made waves with its proprietary platform that reimagines the refuelling experience for millions of Indian commuters—bringing efficiency, predictability, and real-time intelligence to a traditionally underserved sector.
Over the coming three months, Nawgati will benefit from bespoke mentorship and strategic guidance from Google’s international teams across disciplines including artificial intelligence, user experience design, product scaling, leadership, and business development. The initiative aims to amplify Nawgati’s mission to streamline the fuelling ecosystem through cutting-edge digital interventions.
“We’re honoured to be part of the Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps Programme. This opportunity will not only accelerate our technological evolution but also sharpen our ability to create value for fuel station owners, fleet operators, and everyday consumers,” remarked Vaibhav Kaushik, CEO and Co-founder of Nawgati.
At its core, Nawgati’s mobile platform provides motorists with real-time data on fuel station availability, discovery, and smart routing. By leveraging AI to analyse location-based demand and traffic patterns, the app effectively reduces queue times and eliminates uncertainty for two-wheeler and four-wheeler users alike.
Nawgati’s selection for the accelerator further cements its rising stature within India’s burgeoning clean mobility ecosystem. The startup’s progress is underpinned by robust institutional backing, including support from GAIL (India) Ltd., MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), the Department of Science and Technology (DST), All in Capital, and the Deepak Bhagnani Family Office.
As India accelerates its transition to intelligent mobility solutions, Nawgati’s inclusion in Google’s accelerator programme underscores the growing relevance of AI-powered applications in transforming everyday transport experiences.
