Replus expands battery capacity to 6GWh with next-gen tech

Replus, a leading battery manufacturing company under the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has announced plans to expand its production capacity from its current 1GWh to 6GWh within the next year. This strategic expansion aims to cater to the rapidly growing demand for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in India, incorporating cutting-edge battery technologies.The upgraded facility will feature high-speed automation manufacturing processes, leveraging automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and data-driven manufacturing techniques. These advancements will include real-time monitoring, machine vision, robotic systems, automated material handling, and laser welding, all designed to enhance efficiency, accelerate production, and minimize the carbon footprint. Additionally, the plant will adopt a flexible, technology-agnostic approach to cell chemistry, enabling it to support high energy density cells, blade cells, and future technologies such as Na-ion, LMFP, and LTO. The expanded facility will also produce a range of next-generation products for various electric vehicles, including passenger EVs, EV buses, EV trucks, and grid-scale renewable plants.
