MUMBAI :

South Korean auto giant Hyundai's newest micro SUV, the Exter, is all set to further strengthen HMI's position in the country. It will take on homegrown OEM, Tata Motors’ Punch as well as French car manufacturer’s Citroen C3. Considering Hyundai already sells a wide range of SUVs in the country, the Exter, like the other SUVs already present in the market, is also expected to be well received by buyers.

Designed and developed for Hyundai’s new age, Gen Z customers, the company believes that the Exter, will not only meet the varied needs of its buyers, but will, in fact, upend the micro SUV market thanks to the cutting edge technology and modern features that it will come loaded with.

Expected to be a versatile offering, the company expects its customers to make the most of the Hyundai Exter, especially when it comes to their urban and outdoor lifestyles. For those seeking adventure and independence, the Hyundai Exter, will offer three different powertrain options: a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) with a 5-speed manual gearbox (5MT), an automated manual gearbox (Smart Auto AMT), and a 1.2 litre Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Besides, HMI will also make the Hyundai Exter available in 5 trim levels: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. To celebrate travel, adventure and exploration, Exter enthusiasts can also opt for a distinct colour – “Ranger Khaki” on the new micro SUV.

The Exter gets a modern and distinctive approach to SUV design. The micro SUV will boast a Parametric Front Grille, that will display its contemporary design. H-Signature LED DRLs, Projector Headlamps, and a Sporty Skid Plate will be the other interesting bits to look out for on the micro SUV. Also, the distinctive ‘Exter’ symbol on the front, will further add to its looks.

Diamond Cut Alloys in blacked out wheel arches with side sill panelling to further enhance the SUV's rugged appearance, a floating roof design, a C-Pillar garnish with a parametric design and the sporty roof rails, will give this micro SUV a modern look.

Hyundai’s affordability, reliability and tech, combined with a pleasurable driving experience should make waiting for this micro SUV, the Exter, well worth your while.
