Mahindra & Mahindra, has always been a force to reckon with in the SUV segment in the Indian market with products such as Bolero, Scorpio and XUV700. The Bolero, in particular has been around for over two decades, yet the charm and popularity of this SUV has not faded. The company went a step ahead in 2015 and introduced the Bolero Neo, christened as TUV300 at that time, which was a more modern, advanced and premium version of the rugged Bolero SUV. Recently, Mahindra further extended the Bolero Neo product line by launching the Bolero Neo+ with a 9-seater configuration. Here’s what you can expect from the newly launched Mahindra Bolero Neo+:

The Bolero Neo+ has been presented in two trims namely P4 and P10. While the P4 is an entry-level variant with basic features, the P10 is the premium trim with striking features and are priced at INR 11.39 lakh and INR 12.49 lakh, respectively (ex-Showroom, India).

The Bolero Neo+ gets not just an imposing stance but also stylish headlamp units, fog lamps and bonnet. The SUV gets typical Bolero elements in the form of X-shaped bumpers, front grille with chrome inserts, and an X-shaped spare wheel cover. It also boasts of side body cladding, side and rear footsteps. The 16-inch alloy wheels accentuate the overall sportiness of the SUV. The Bolero Neo+ gets three rows of seating and it can accommodate nine occupants including the driver.

The cabin is finished in premium Italian fabric while the 9-seat configuration is arranged in a 2-3-4 pattern. The third row is presented in the form of side facing bench seats. Some of the notable features inside the cabin are front and rear power windows, armrests, anti-glare IRVM, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. However, the main highlight of the cabin remains the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which gets Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity.

The body shell of Bolero Neo+ is composed of high-strength steel and the body-on-frame SUV comes equipped with a myriad of safety features in the form of ABS with EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX child seats, engine immobilizer, and automatic door locks.

The Bolero Neo+ gets the tried-and-trusted 4 cylinder, 2.2L, mHawk diesel engine with Micro-Hybrid Technology. This engine returns maximum power of 118 bhp and peak torque of 280 Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed gearbox in a rear-wheel-drive setup.

The Bolero Neo+ is targeted towards large families, tour and travel operators, and contractors who lease vehicles to companies. It will directly rival Force Gurkha 5-door and Force Citiline in the Indian market.
