Ather Energy Limited, one of India’s foremost electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has announced that it has crossed the milestone of 700 Experience Centres (ECs) across the country. Over the past year, the company has added more than 350 new Experience Centres, effectively doubling its retail network from 351 centres as of March 31, 2025.
This rapid scale-up of its physical retail presence has emerged as a pivotal driver of Ather’s sustained growth trajectory, enabling improved accessibility for customers and facilitating expansion across both established and emerging markets.
The enlarged retail footprint has significantly broadened Ather’s reach, contributing to its national market share rising to 18.7 per cent in March 2026, as per Vahan data. Central to this growth has been the remarkable success of the Ather Rizta, the company’s first family-oriented scooter, which has recorded sales of over 2.8 lakh units since its launch. The Rizta has played a crucial role in expanding Ather’s appeal to new customer segments, while unlocking demand across previously untapped markets.
Simultaneously, sustained demand for the Ather 450 series has ensured consistent growth momentum across regions, reinforcing the brand’s positioning in the performance EV segment.
Ather’s retail expansion strategy in FY26 has been distinctly calibrated towards Middle India and the Rest of India, enabling accelerated scale-up in these geographies and delivering meaningful gains in market share. This strategic thrust has translated into strong momentum across both regions, with the company witnessing a near doubling of growth metrics.
Concurrently, Ather has continued to deepen its presence in South India while steadily expanding into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, thereby establishing a more balanced and extensive national footprint.
Commenting on the milestone, Ravneet Singh Phokela, said, “The last year has been about scaling our retail footprint as a key lever for growth. While we’ve increased our Experience Centre count across all geographies, the expansion in Middle India and to some degree in Rest of India has been particularly aggressive. This has allowed us to target new geographies and segments, which have led to strong volume and market share gains. We believe we still have headroom for growth, and will continue on this path over the next few quarters.”
Beyond retail expansion, Ather has continued to fortify its broader ecosystem to deliver a seamless ownership experience. Last month, the company announced that it had crossed 500 authorised service centres across India, ensuring dependable after-sales support in every city where it operates.
Further enhancing convenience for riders, Ather Grid — India’s largest two-wheeler fast-charging network — has expanded to over 4,357 fast-charging and neighbourhood charging points globally, as of December 31, 2025. This growing network continues to play a vital role in addressing range anxiety and enabling effortless urban mobility for electric two-wheeler users.
