Ather Energy Limited, a trailblazer in India’s electric two-wheeler sector, has expanded its horizons with the introduction of the Ather Rizta in Nepal. This launch is an important milestone in Ather’s strategic push into international markets, as the company continues to broaden its portfolio and strengthen its presence in the region.

Since entering the Nepalese market in November 2023 with the Ather 450 series, Ather has made remarkable strides, opening 9 Experience Centres and 6 Service Centres across the country. These facilities are managed by Ather’s trusted national distributor, Vaidya Energy Pvt. Ltd. In addition, the brand has worked diligently to enhance the EV ecosystem in Nepal, installing 22 Ather Grid fast chargers to ensure smooth and reliable EV ownership.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy Limited, commented on the expansion: “Nepal was our first international market, and over the last two years, we have seen strong consumer interest and a very encouraging response to the Ather 450 series. To meet the growing demand, we have also steadily expanded our footprint across the country. With the launch of the Rizta, we are tapping into a new segment of family buyers who prioritise comfort and convenience in their everyday rides. We are hoping to see the same strong response for the Rizta as we’ve seen for the 450 series.”

The Ather Rizta is designed to cater to the needs of family-oriented buyers, featuring an expansive and comfortable seat that ensures a relaxed ride for both the rider and passenger. The scooter boasts an impressive 56L of storage space, which includes a 34L under-seat compartment and an additional 22L frunk accessory for even more convenience. Riders will also appreciate the spacious floorboard, which offers generous legroom for added comfort during longer rides.

Safety remains a top priority for Ather, and the Rizta incorporates several features to enhance rider security. One standout technology is SkidControl™, designed to provide greater stability and control, especially on challenging terrain. Additionally, the scooter is equipped with a 7-inch TFT display dashboard, delivering a connected experience that includes Google Maps navigation, Bluetooth music, and call controls, all powered by AtherStack™ Pro.

Building on the success of the Ather 450 series in Nepal, the Rizta is poised to strengthen Ather Energy’s position in the market, offering a premium, family-focused electric mobility solution.

Ather’s international journey began in November 2023 with the opening of its first Experience Centre in Nepal, followed by a successful market entry in Sri Lanka in December 2024. As of now, Ather has expanded its network significantly in both countries, with a total of 19 Experience Centres and 9 Service Centres in Sri Lanka. In India, Ather continues to dominate the electric two-wheeler space with 446 Experience Centres and nearly 4,000 Ather Grid fast chargers nationwide.

The launch of the Rizta in Nepal is yet another testament to Ather’s commitment to making electric vehicles accessible and desirable for a broader audience. By offering a comprehensive ecosystem of products and services, Ather is not only revolutionising the electric two-wheeler market but also contributing to the growth of sustainable transportation solutions in the region.

With the Rizta, Ather Energy has once again demonstrated its ability to innovate and expand, providing the modern family with a reliable, safe, and eco-friendly means of mobility.
