BYD India commences bookings for SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition from 17 March 2026

BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, the global No. 1 NEV (New Energy Vehicle) manufacturer, has officially announced the commencement of bookings for the BYD SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition. The special edition celebrates a key milestone for the brand’s flagship electric performance SUV in the Indian market, with bookings opening from 17 March, 2026.

Customers can reserve the BYD SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition with a booking amount of INR 70,000 (Seventy Thousand Rupees only) across BYD India dealerships nationwide. As part of the First Anniversary Offer, the first 1100 customers will receive a suite of exclusive benefits, including a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation and Complimentary 2 Years Free Service & Maintenance.

Further enhancing ownership value, customers will benefit from a first-in-class Low Voltage Battery (LVB) using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, backed by an 8-year / 150,000 km warranty (Normal warranty being 6 years /150,000 KM). The High Voltage Battery continues with a standard warranty of 8 Years / 160,000 KM, reinforcing BYD’s focus on long-term reliability and safety. These offers remain valid for the first 1100 customers and for bookings made until 30th April 2026.

Adding a fresh aesthetic dimension, the First Anniversary Edition introduces a distinctive Tahiti Blue interior colour theme. This new treatment further elevates the premium and futuristic cabin experience while staying true to the model’s signature ocean-inspired design philosophy.

Since its debut in India at the Bharat Expo 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has witnessed robust demand, quickly establishing itself among the best-selling models in the premium electric SUV segment. The model has recorded over 2500+ units in sales in India, underlining the growing appetite for high-performance electric SUVs that blend advanced technology, refined design, and everyday usability.

At its core, the SEALION 7 is engineered as a pure performance fully electric SUV, seamlessly integrating ocean-inspired aesthetics with cutting-edge innovation. It features BYD’s Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) and the advanced Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the Blade Battery into the vehicle structure, enhancing safety, driving dynamics, and cabin space.

Powering the SUV is an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery, with the model offered in Premium and Performance variants. The Performance variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant achieves the sprint in 6.7 seconds. The SEALION 7 delivers a range of 542 km for the Performance variant and 567 km for the Premium variant (NEDC), offering a compelling balance of performance and efficiency.

Penned by BYD’s Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the SEALION 7 showcases sleek aerodynamic lines and the distinctive “Ocean X” front styling. Inside, the cabin exudes sophistication with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, and 128-colour ambient lighting. Additional highlights include a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade and a refined cabin engineered to minimise noise, vibration, and harshness.

The SUV further enhances the in-cabin experience with 12 Dynaudio speakers, ventilated and heated seats, and 50 W wireless phone charging. Practicality is elevated with features such as an intelligent electric tailgate and Vehicle-to-Load (VTOL) capability, allowing the vehicle to power external electronic devices when required.

The BYD SEALION 7 has also garnered widespread industry recognition. It secured the Premium EV of the year title at the car&bike 2026 Awards and was honoured with the Premium SUV of the Year 2025 title at the TV9 Auto Awards. Additionally, it was recognised in the Luxury Midsize SUV Category at the ACKO Drive Awards 2026 – TOTM (The One That Matters).

Further cementing BYD’s innovation leadership, the SEALION 7 received the Best EV Design accolade at the CarBike360 Awards, while BYD’s Blade Battery technology earned recognition for Best New EV Battery Technology. The brand was also conferred the Pioneer in Battery Technology Award at the Jagran HiTech Evolution Bharat Conclave & Awards 2026.
