Rajeev Chauhan to spearhead EPV business of BYD India as Vice President
Sanjay Gopalakrishanan retires from BYD India.

NEW DELHI
BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer BYD, sees Mr. Rajeev Chauhan takes on the role of Vice President of the Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India. He takes over from Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan as he retires after over three decades in Indian Automotive Industry with his last stint that saw him set up the EV Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India. Mr. Rajeev Chauhan is an accomplished automotive leader. In a career spanning over 25 years, he has worked with Honda Cars India and Volvo Car India among other names. He has driven innovative strategies across multiple domains of retail network, customer experience, electrification, direct sales, product development, customer service and digital transformation. His focus on optimising retail capacity with a strong customer orientation has redefined customer experiences, elevated market share, created a highly profitable dealer network and eventually company profitability. He will spearhead the overall electric passenger vehicle business of BYD India.
