Suzuki Motorcycle India launches its first OBD2-A and E20 compliant premium range of scooters

NEW DELHI
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation today launched its OBD2-A and E20 compliant premium range of scooters. The company has taken a step ahead towards eco-friendly mobility solution by introducing E20 fuel-compliant scooters including Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street range. These scooters can run on the petrol having an ethanol blend of upto 20%. In addition, the E20 compliant engine which comes in Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street range will be the first offering from the house of Suzuki two-wheelers to comply with OBD2-A norms. The latest version of On-board Diagnostics System, also known as OBD2-A, helps in detecting system failures and also illuminates the console lights to indicate the rider in case of any faults in the vehicle system. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd. said, “Suzuki’s powerful 125cc engine which delivers high performance and has been ruling riders’ hearts is now E20 (petrol with 20 per cent ethanol) and OBD2-A compliant.
