In a significant development in the automotive technology space, Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, has announced its selection by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) to collaborate on Vehicle Software Engineering and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) development.
Mercedes-Benz, a name synonymous with automotive excellence for nearly 140 years, is at the forefront of the software-defined vehicle revolution. The luxury automaker is focused on building an integrated software architecture that enhances vehicle performance, delivers intuitive user experiences, and adapts to evolving driver needs—underscoring its commitment to innovation in next-generation mobility.
Tata Elxsi brings to the table extensive experience in developing SDV platforms in collaboration with global OEMs. The company leverages its expertise in autonomous, electric, and connected vehicle technologies, alongside artificial intelligence and SDV-focused solutions. With its AVENIR SDV suite and AUTONOMAI ADAS suite, as well as dedicated Mobility Innovation Centres and cutting-edge labs, Tata Elxsi aims to drive scalable innovation at reduced costs and increased collaboration.
