Valeo opens Satellite Tech Centre in Bengaluru as part of its Global Tech Centre in Chennai

With the creation of new technology focused positions, this Satellite Centre will focus on end-to-end Software and system engineering, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, addressing the core market trends in electrification, autonomous driving, reinvention of interior experience and lighting everywhere.

BENGALURU :

On 06 July 2023, Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France inaugurated the new office at Pritech Park Annex, Bellandur, Bengaluru in the presence of Jayakumar G, Group President & Managing Director, Valeo India and Daniel Frayssinet, Vice President, Valeo Group Central Engineering Operations along with employees and special invitees. The Satellite Technical Centre in Bengaluru will be part of the Valeo Global Tech Centre, Chennai.

With the creation of new technology focused positions, this Satellite Centre will focus on end-to-end Software and system engineering, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, addressing the core market trends in electrification, autonomous driving, reinvention of interior experience and lighting everywhere. 

During the inauguration, Jayakumar G, Valeo India President & Managing Director, stated, “This is a new milestone in expanding our R&D footprint in India. Our foray into the city of Bengaluru, which is a global Tech Hub, enables us to leverage the talent needs for specific skill sets and nurture this talent for our future growth. This will also strengthen our endeavor to be future-ready for the massive transformation in the auto industry. “

Geoffrey Bouquot, Valeo CTO & SVP Strategy added “With this new R&D location, our Global Tech Centre expertise in India expands and will enable us to access an even bigger talent pool to cope with all new challenges of the automotive industry transformation”

Valeo has a strong presence in India with eight Production Sites and one Global R&D Technical Centre. These facilities are spread over Chennai, Pune, Sanand, Gurgaon and Noida. Valeo employs more than 6,500 people in India, of which 50% are engineers. Valeo India is emerging as a global R&D hub, contributing significantly to all Valeo customers across the world. Valeo’s Global Technical Centre in Chennai currently employs more than 3000 talented engineers and is further expanding to meet the growing demand.
