In a strategic move aimed at expanding into the booming North American energy storage market, India-based battery innovator PURE has announced a key partnership with Canadian energy solutions company Charge Power Inc. The collaboration will see PURE’s advanced PuREPower product line enter both the U.S. and Canadian markets, with a co-branded approach targeting residential, commercial, and grid-scale applications.

PURE, known for its cutting-edge battery technology and power electronics, is leveraging this alliance to tap into the fast-growing demand for energy storage systems across North America. According to recent market projections, the U.S. energy storage sector is expected to hit USD 70.7 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 13.9%, while Canada is forecasted to reach USD 18.38 billion by 2030 with a 15.8% CAGR. The surge is largely fueled by the increasing adoption of renewables like solar and wind.

The PuREPower lineup integrates high energy density lithium-ion batteries with 5th generation power electronics and a Cloud & Predictive AI platform. This combination offers remote monitoring, near-100% uptime, and minimal service disruptions. A hallmark of PURE’s technology is its advanced thermal management system, utilizing nano-PCM cooling at the cell level and liquid cooling at the pack and rack levels. This multi-tiered cooling approach ensures high efficiency, safety, and longevity.

Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder & Managing Director of PURE, emphasized the significance of the launch said “PuREPower is the result of eight years of dedicated effort and multiple products installed across residential, commercial and large industries. We have harnessed our deep expertise in battery technology and power electronics, combined with our robust manufacturing facilities, and we are confident that our innovative, durable, and reliable energy storage products will be widely accepted in the US and Canada markets. We are pleased to partner with Charge Power, whose team brings experience in delivering over 4 GWh projects across North America along with deep EPC, marketing and sales expertise. By leveraging our respective strengths and capabilities, we are confident in making a significant impact in these markets in the months to come. We also see these markets as a key part of our global expansion strategy.”

Charge Power Inc., which brings over a decade of experience in North American energy storage deployments, will contribute its expertise in engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and lifecycle management.

Mr. Ravi Pinnelli, Managing Director of Charge Power Inc., stated, “We are excited to partner with PURE, whose advanced battery technologies and proprietary platforms align seamlessly with our mission to deliver high-performance, resilient energy storage solutions. Their robust manufacturing capabilities complement Charge Power’s proven expertise in EPC, system integration, and lifecycle management. With our deep project experience, trusted client relationships, and established presence across North America, combined with PuREPower’s field-proven product line, this partnership is uniquely positioned to deliver exceptional value to residential, commercial, and grid-scale customers.”

PURE will retain full intellectual property rights for its technologies as it scales globally, ensuring protection for its proprietary energy storage innovations.

For battery technology enthusiasts and stakeholders in the energy sector, this partnership signals an exciting infusion of advanced storage systems tailored to the evolving needs of North American infrastructure.
