Ola Electric begins nationwide deliveries of Roadster X motorcycles

Ola Electric, India’s largest pure-play electric vehicle (EV) company, has kicked off deliveries for its much-anticipated Roadster X portfolio of electric motorcycles. As part of its “Ride the Future” campaign, the company is offering benefits worth INR 10,000 to the first 5,000 customers. These early buyers will receive complimentary Extended Warranty, MoveOS+, and Essential Care packages.

The Roadster X series marks Ola’s debut into the electric motorcycle segment, featuring a mid-drive motor designed to enhance both performance and safety. Its powertrain integrates a chain drive and a microcontroller unit (MCU) to ensure efficient torque transfer, enabling strong acceleration and improved range. Notably, the motorcycles incorporate flat cables—an industry-first innovation aimed at reducing weight, improving thermal performance, and boosting durability and reliability.

The Roadster X series boasts several technological advancements, including a segment-first patented brake-by-wire system with single-channel ABS. It also features Ola’s smart MoveOS 5 capabilities such as advanced regenerative braking, cruise control, and reverse mode. The battery system is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance and includes advanced wire bonding and a serviceable Battery Management System (BMS) for easier upkeep.

Pricing for the Roadster X lineup starts at INR 99,999 for the 2.5kWh variant. The 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh models are priced at INR 1,09,999 and INR 1,24,999 respectively. The Roadster X+ 4.5kWh is available at INR 1,29,999, while the top-end Roadster X+ 9.1kWh—powered by Ola’s proprietary 4680 Bharat Cell and offering a class-leading range of 501 km per charge—is priced at INR 1,99,999.
