The Range Rover Sport SV Black has been officially revealed as the most dramatic and performance-focused iteration of the Range Rover Sport to date. Making its public debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, this striking all-black edition redefines modern luxury SUV design through a bold monochrome aesthetic, elevated craftsmanship, and exceptional dynamic capability.
With its roots in the highly acclaimed Range Rover Sport SV, the SV Black edition builds upon a foundation of performance engineering and design sophistication. Finished extensively in Narvik Gloss Black, every surface and detail of the exterior has been reimagined to create a commanding and defiant presence. This includes, for the first time, the use of black-finished SV roundels and Range Rover branding on the front grille and rear tailgate, establishing a new visual signature for the marque.
The Range Rover Sport SV Black introduces a comprehensive Gloss Black Exterior Pack, including gloss black quad tailpipes, forged 23-inch alloy wheels, and a carbon fibre bonnet painted to match the deep black finish. Gloss Black brake calipers add to the sense of purpose and performance, while the overall treatment creates a cohesive and deeply expressive design theme. This latest SV model takes the popular black styling packs offered on previous models and elevates them into a full-bodied design philosophy.
Inside the cabin, the all-black theme continues with precision and elegance. The interior features Ebony Windsor leather performance seats that are both supportive and tactile. New SV Black illuminated treadplates welcome occupants into a space where craftsmanship meets advanced technology. Gloss Grand Black trim elements provide a subtle yet refined contrast, enhancing the cabin’s visual depth while retaining a performance-oriented feel.
Under the bonnet, the Range Rover Sport SV Black is powered by a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 petrol engine, delivering 635PS and 750Nm of torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 3.6 seconds, making it the most powerful and fastest Range Rover Sport ever produced. The vehicle also features a top speed of 180mph, confirming its credentials as a true performance SUV.
One of the key technological highlights of the SV Black is its integration of 6D Dynamics, a revolutionary suspension system that delivers class-leading body control, comfort, and driving dynamics. Complementing this is the Body and Soul Seat system, which merges high-end audio with wellness technologies, providing an immersive and multi-sensory experience for both driver and passengers.
Alongside the unveiling of the SV Black edition, Range Rover has also announced a new globally available Range Rover Sport SV model. This version will feature the same 635PS mild-hybrid V8 engine and 6D Dynamics technology, with a slightly lower top speed of 165mph. Both versions demonstrate Range Rover’s commitment to combining luxury and performance in a distinctly British form.
The Range Rover Sport SV Black will be showcased from 10 to 13 July 2025 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, UK. Client orders for this exclusive edition will open in late 2025. In the meantime, customers can explore configurations and register their interest via the official Range Rover website at www.rangerover.com.
This introduction of the Range Rover Sport SV Black reinforces the brand’s leadership in the luxury performance SUV segment. With its monochromatic design language, powerful V8 engine, and advanced suspension systems, it represents a new chapter in stealth luxury that blends sporting character with uncompromising refinement.
