MG Motor India launches the Cyberster: A high-performance Electric Roadster 

MG Motor India, under its premium MG SELECT channel, has unveiled the Cyberster, a revolutionary roadster that effortlessly combines modern electric performance with the timeless appeal of classic motoring. Priced at INR 74.99 Lakh for new bookings, and INR 72.49 Lakh for pre-reserved bookings, the Cyberster represents the pinnacle of MG’s vision for the future of motoring. Fusing cutting-edge technology with a striking design, this electric roadster is designed for those who seek more than just a car—it offers an experience, a statement of both style and sustainable performance.

The Cyberster draws inspiration from the iconic MGB, reimagining the classic roadster silhouette for the electric era. Its dramatic proportions, dynamic lines, and futuristic features create a captivating presence that’s both muscular and elegant. At the same time, the Cyberster is a conscious step toward a more sustainable future, with every element thoughtfully crafted to reduce environmental impact while delivering uncompromising performance.

The exterior of the Cyberster is a masterclass in design, combining sculptural lines with purposeful engineering. Its electric scissor doors and soft-top roof evoke emotions that few cars can match. Designed with a drag coefficient of just 0.269 Cd, the Cyberster achieves impressive aerodynamic efficiency. The distinctive front fascia features signature LED headlamps, sharp DRLs, and a sculpted bonnet, while the rear seamlessly tapers into a full-width LED light bar with integrated indicators, creating a visual impression that is both dynamic and sophisticated.

The 20-inch staggered lightweight alloy wheels, paired with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, not only enhance the vehicle’s athletic stance but are engineered for superior grip and performance, providing an exhilarating driving experience.

Inside, the MG Cyberster takes a bold leap into the future with a driver-centric cockpit designed to enhance both driving pleasure and comfort. A 77 kWh ultra-thin battery pack—among the slimmest in the industry at just 110 mm—offers a remarkable MIDC-certified range of 580 km, ensuring that long drives remain an option. The Cyberster’s performance is further refined by its suspension system, developed with the expertise of former Formula 1 engineer Marco Fainello. Featuring double wishbone suspension and a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, the Cyberster offers both razor-sharp handling and everyday comfort. Brembo 4-piston front brake callipers ensure precise and confident braking, bringing the vehicle to a stop from 100 km/h in just 33 meters.

MG’s commitment to safety is evident in the Cyberster, which features a high-strength H-shaped full cradle structure and a Static Stability Factor (SSF) of 1.83, providing exceptional rollover resistance. The vehicle also comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a real-time Driver Monitoring System, and a suite of safety features including dual front and side airbags, electronic stability control, and electronic differential lock.

The MG Cyberster is priced at INR 72.49 Lakh for pre-reserved bookings and INR 74.99 Lakh for fresh bookings (all India ex-showroom). This pricing includes a 3.3 kW portable charger, a 7.4 kW wall box charger, and standard installation.
