India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of the much-anticipated 2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0, introduced under the marque’s widely acclaimed brand campaign, ‘The Call of the Blue’. Available in two variants, the latest iteration of this popular street-naked motorcycle is priced from INR 1.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
The 2025 MT-15 Version 2 DLX arrives with a suite of notable technological refinements, headlined by the inclusion of a colour TFT display equipped with Turn-by-Turn Navigation — a feature that further enhances its digital sophistication. Through Yamaha’s updated Y-Connect Mobile App, riders gain seamless Bluetooth connectivity, unlocking an array of intelligent features including Maintenance Recommendations, Parking Location, Real-Time Fuel Consumption Data, Malfunction Notifications, a Revs Dashboard, and a unique Rider Ranking system designed to elevate rider engagement.

Aesthetically, the new MT-15 Version 2 DLX embraces a refreshed visual language, offered in two striking new colour schemes. ‘Ice Storm’ — a globally popular MT Series shade — makes its debut in India, while ‘Vivid Violet Metallic’ infuses a bold, youthful presence. These additions join the existing ‘Metallic Black’ for the DLX variant. Meanwhile, the standard model now dons an assertive ‘Metallic Silver Cyan’, reinforcing the MT-15’s commanding streetfighter ethos.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, remarked, “The MT-15 Version 2.0 has carved a strong identity in the street-naked segment with its aggressive styling, performance-oriented engineering, and everyday versatility. Ever since we introduced the colour TFT Display with Turn-By-Turn Navigation feature on the popular R15M, we received consistent demand from MT-15 customers for similar advancements. The 2025 update reflects our commitment to addressing these expectations—with advanced features and new youthful colours that enhance both visual appeal and rider engagement. With these updates, Yamaha continues to deliver motorcycles that resonate with young, dynamic riders seeking a balance of thrill and practicality.”
Powering the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is a liquid-cooled, 155cc fuel-injected engine featuring Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The motor is paired with a slick 6-speed gearbox complemented by an Assist & Slipper Clutch, offering precise, effortless shifts while minimising rear-wheel hop under aggressive downshifting. A Traction Control System further enhances safety and rider confidence across varied terrains.

Engineering excellence continues to underpin the MT-15’s street credentials. A MotoGP-derived aluminium swingarm lends greater stability and sharpness during cornering and braking, while the patented Delta Box frame combined with a lightweight 141 kg kerb weight ensures agile, responsive handling in urban and spirited riding scenarios.
With this comprehensive update, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 reaffirms its position as a class-leading proposition in the sub-200cc street-naked category. By blending advanced technology, bold aesthetics, and performance DNA, Yamaha once again delivers a motorcycle that speaks directly to the sensibilities of India’s young and dynamic motorcycling community.
