In a landmark moment for electric mobility, Ultraviolette has officially launched the X-47 Crossover, the world’s first motorcycle to integrate both radar and camera technologies. The unveiling of this groundbreaking machine not only signifies a bold leap in two-wheeled innovation but also cements Ultraviolette’s ambition to deliver globally competitive electric vehicles that underscore India’s technological and design leadership.

Blending aviation-inspired design with cutting-edge safety systems, the Ultraviolette X-47 represents the next evolution in the company’s electric vehicle portfolio, tailored for the discerning Indian rider while maintaining world-class standards in engineering and innovation.

Engineered for versatility, the X-47 Crossover has been meticulously developed to cater to a wide spectrum of motorcyclists – from urban commuters and weekend riders to passionate thrill-seekers. Its upright riding stance, rider-centric ergonomics, integrated onboard charger, and high torque output ensure the X-47 remains both comfortable and commanding, whether navigating dense cityscapes or embarking on long-haul journeys across varied terrains.

Speaking at the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, stated, “At Ultraviolette, innovation defines everything we do, and with the X-47 Crossover we have built a motorcycle from the ground up to transform the entire riding experience. With that vision, we have introduced the World’s first radar and camera integrated motorcycle. The fighter jet inspired X-47 represents a fusion of cutting-edge technology, advanced safety systems and precision engineering that redefines what riders can expect from electric mobility. It has been designed to deliver unmatched versatility, from urban rides to varied riding scenarios while staying true to Ultraviolette’s vision of building world-class EVs that showcase Indian design, innovation and engineering leadership on the global stage.”

The X-47 is underpinned by Ultraviolette’s industry-leading electric powertrain and a modular vehicle platform, designed for exceptional performance and adaptability. It is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, producing a peak output of 40.2 hp (30 kW) and 100 Nm of torque. These figures translate to a blistering 0–60 km/h acceleration in just 2.7 seconds, and a top speed of 145 km/h — placing the X-47 among the most capable electric motorcycles in its class.

Adding further to its credentials is an IDC-certified range of up to 323 km, offering riders both confidence and endurance in real-world scenarios.

By integrating radar and camera systems — technologies more commonly associated with automotive and aerospace sectors — Ultraviolette has introduced a new layer of rider awareness and safety, hitherto unseen in the motorcycle domain. This innovation sets the X-47 apart not only as a performance machine but also as a smart, safety-conscious mobility solution for a new generation of electric motorcyclists.

As the world accelerates towards sustainable transportation, the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover emerges as a defining moment in the story of electric two-wheelers. With its unmatched blend of performance, safety, and design rooted in Indian ingenuity, the X-47 reaffirms Ultraviolette’s status as a vanguard of next-generation electric mobility.
