Lexus India SUV sales soar, Led by RX and strong market demand

Lexus India has announced a notable performance update for its RX SUV, which has recorded an impressive 18% increase in sales from January to September 2025, compared to the same period in the previous year. The month of September proved particularly strong, with the RX registering a 38% year-on-year growth, reaffirming its significance in Lexus India’s strategic portfolio.

The RX continues to be instrumental in reinforcing Lexus’s footprint in the Indian luxury SUV segment, exemplifying the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and refined performance. Its continued success is a testament to the evolving tastes of Indian luxury car buyers and their increasing affinity for hybrid-electric mobility solutions.

Over recent years, the SUV segment has emerged as a primary growth driver for Lexus India. The brand’s portfolio—anchored by the NX, RX, and flagship LX—witnessed a remarkable 58% growth in September 2025 compared to the same month last year. This trio of SUVs now constitutes approximately 54% of Lexus India’s overall sales in September, clearly establishing SUVs as the dominant segment within the brand’s domestic operations.
