The new BMW M2 CS has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of INR 1,66,00,000, arriving as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model in strictly limited numbers. Based on the second-generation BMW M2, the CS elevates performance to an exceptional standard, delivering 390 kW / 530 hp—on par with the BMW M4 Competition Coupé—channelled to the rear wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India said, “The new BMW M2 CS is optimized for the ultimate thrill. By bringing this global track icon to Indian shores, we are catering to a growing community of enthusiasts who demand an uncompromising, pure-blooded driving experience. And while the M2 CS is born for the racetrack, it’s ready to take you wherever you need to go. It stands as a definitive driver’s machine – a bridge between peak adrenaline and the open road, offering our Indian customers a level of exclusivity and precision that only a ‘CS’ badge can deliver.”
The model etched its credentials on 11 April 2025 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing the 20.823 km circuit in 7:25.5 minutes, setting a new benchmark for compact cars.
Extensive use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, a lowered chassis, and bespoke tuning sharpen dynamics, while the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine produces 650 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 302 km/h. Inside, Alcantara, carbon fibre, and advanced digital interfaces underline its motorsport pedigree, blending exclusivity with cutting-edge innovation.
