Hyundai Motor Company has achieved a remarkable milestone as the IONIQ 6 N secures the title of World Performance Car at the 22nd World Car Awards, announced live at the 2026 New York International Auto Show.
“This recognition from the World Car Awards jury means a great deal to the thousands of people at Hyundai who designed, engineered, and built this vehicle. Customers appreciate great design, advanced technology, and real-world value that the IONIQ 6 N offers. We are grateful to the jury for this honor. This award belongs to them and to the team that earned it,” said José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.
The IONIQ 6 N defines electric high-performance with:
- Thrilling Power: Up to 641 hp with N Grin Boost, 0–62 mph in 3.2 seconds.
- Immersive Driving: N e-Shift delivers a genuine gearshift feel; N Active Sound+ enhances the auditory experience.
- Rapid Charging: 84.0 kWh battery charges from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a 350-kW charger.
This marks Hyundai’s fifth consecutive year of recognition at the World Car Awards, reinforcing a legacy of innovation and leadership in electric mobility. Previous accolades include: IONIQ 5 N (2024), IONIQ 6 (2023), and INSTER (CASPER Electric, 2025).
With the IONIQ 6 N, Hyundai sets new benchmarks in EV performance, design, and technology, cementing its global reputation as a trailblazer in high-performance electric vehicles.
