Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the wholly owned two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has successfully concluded the Mumbai leg of its flagship motorcycling festival, Suzuki Matsuri, at Mulund. The event not only drew an impressive gathering of nearly 4,000 two-wheeler riders and enthusiasts, but also etched its name into the record books with four notable achievements recognised by the India Book of Records (IBR) and Asia Book of Records (ABR).

In a remarkable display of community participation, SMIPL secured the record for the Largest Gathering of a Single Scooter Model at One Location, as 390 Suzuki Burgman owners assembled with their scooters. Reinforcing the model’s strong market resonance, the company simultaneously achieved the record for the Maximum Single Model Scooter Delivered in a Single Day, with 175 new Suzuki Burgman scooters handed over to customers at the venue. Both milestones underscore the Burgman’s growing appeal and the deep-rooted trust it commands among Indian buyers.

Reflecting on the resounding success of the Mumbai edition, Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales, Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., remarked, “Suzuki Matsuri is a celebration of the riding community and their passion for two-wheelers. Setting two prestigious records at this year’s Mumbai edition is a proud moment for all of us and reflects the strong connect we share with our customers. The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm reaffirm our commitment to delivering value-packed products and meaningful experiences. We will continue to engage closely with riders to build an inclusive riding culture in India.”

Crafted as a community-centric celebration, Suzuki Matsuri in Mumbai offered a richly layered, festival-like experience. Among its standout moments was the customer-led unveiling of the New Suzuki Burgman Street, which generated considerable excitement among attendees. Further enhancing the showcase, SMIPL presented the globally acclaimed Suzuki Burgman 400, offering visitors an up-close encounter with the brand’s international maxi-scooter lineage and engineering prowess.

Attendees were invited to immerse themselves in curated riding zones featuring models such as the New Burgman Street, Access ABS, e-Access, and V-Strom SX. The festivities extended beyond the saddle with a vibrant Suzuki Parade, adrenaline-fuelled stunt performances, and engaging interactions between customers and the brand. Complementing the on-road excitement were interactive zones including tattoo booths, graffiti walls, merchandise displays, and cosplay artists. The celebratory mood was further elevated by energetic performances from Khaanzadi and DJ Lady Barot.

With its seamless blend of product showcase and community engagement, Suzuki Matsuri continues to evolve as a distinctive platform—uniting riders, experiences, and the enduring spirit of motorcycling under one roof.
