Hero MotoCorp has introduced the all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0, significantly elevating one of India’s most trusted and widely embraced commuter motorcycles. As part of the company’s aggressive product revitalisation strategy, the latest iteration of the Super Splendor arrives with meaningful technological enhancements, improved fuel efficiency and a bold contemporary design tailored to the evolving expectations of modern riders.
Built upon the enduring legacy of the Splendor brand, which has delivered dependable mobility solutions to millions of Indian customers since 1994, the new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 blends proven reliability with contemporary convenience and advanced commuter-focused technologies.
Speaking at the launch, Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer, India Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp said, “Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor has built a strong legacy of delivering trust, performance and everyday reliability to millions of customers for over three decades. The new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 carries this promise forward with a bold and contemporary design, advanced technology and enhanced convenience features. With its trusted performance & reliability, everyday practicality and an elevated riding experience, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 further strengthens Hero MotoCorp’s leadership in the segment while reaffirming its commitment to delivering superior value to its customers.”
The all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 adopts a refreshed visual identity while retaining the familiar silhouette that has defined the motorcycle for decades. Hero MotoCorp has introduced dynamic dual-tone body graphics alongside a vibrant colour palette, lending the motorcycle a sharper and more contemporary presence.
Further elevating its premium appeal are signature XTEC 2.0 badging, a distinct 3D emblem, stylish stitched dual-textured seats and eye-catching rim tapes, all of which contribute towards a more commanding road presence.
Powering the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is a proven 124.7cc single-cylinder engine that develops 10.7 bhp at 7500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. Tuned specifically for refined urban and highway commuting, the motorcycle promises smooth acceleration, dependable performance and responsive rideability across varying road conditions.
A major highlight of the motorcycle is its claimed best-in-class fuel efficiency figure of 72 kmpl. This has been achieved through the integration of Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (APFI) technology alongside Hero MotoCorp’s trusted i3S (Idle Stop-Start System), both of which work in tandem to optimise fuel consumption while enhancing overall riding refinement.
Additionally, the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) enables near-silent engine starts and seamless restart functionality during idle-stop situations, delivering added comfort and convenience, particularly in dense urban traffic environments.
Hero MotoCorp has also focused heavily on enhancing rider safety and confidence with the introduction of segment-first Hazard Lights within the Super Splendor range. The feature enables simultaneous activation of all four indicators, significantly improving visibility during emergency or breakdown situations.
The motorcycle is further equipped with a front disc brake for improved braking confidence and enhanced control across varying riding conditions. Adding to everyday practicality is a handlebar-mounted engine kill switch, enabling quick and convenient ignition cut-off functionality.
The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 comes equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster featuring Bluetooth connectivity, designed to keep riders seamlessly connected during daily commutes.
The console displays incoming call alerts, SMS notifications, missed call alerts, caller ID information and phone battery status, adding a layer of convenience increasingly expected by today’s connected riders.
Hero MotoCorp has also incorporated its Real Time Mileage Indicator (RTMi) and Low Fuel Indicator to help riders monitor fuel consumption more effectively. Further enhancing practicality is a 2 Amp USB Type-C charging port that ensures smartphones remain powered throughout longer journeys and navigation use.
Designed to handle the demands of long daily commutes, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 features ergonomics aimed at reducing rider fatigue. A wide upright handlebar combined with a relaxed riding posture promises greater comfort across both congested city roads and open stretches of highway.
The long and accommodating seat offers ample room for both rider and pillion, while the telescopic front suspension setup has been refined to deliver balanced ride comfort over uneven road surfaces. Hero MotoCorp has also equipped the motorcycle with a wide rear grab rail to provide enhanced stability and support for pillion riders over rough terrain.
The all-new Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is available in five colour options — Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue and Matt Chestnut Brown.
Hero MotoCorp has priced the motorcycle at Rs. 86,500 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi), with availability commencing across dealerships nationwide.
