Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250cc–750cc), has officially launched the iconic Bullet in its new 650cc avatar in India, opening an exhilarating new chapter in a journey that spans more than nine decades.
First introduced in 1932, the Bullet remains one of motorcycling’s most recognisable and enduring icons. As the world’s longest-running motorcycle in continuous production, the Bullet now enters its 94th year, continuing to command a unique place in motorcycling culture across generations. Its unmistakable silhouette, upright stance and iconic thump have long stood as symbols of authentic motorcycling.
Now, the legendary motorcycle evolves into its most powerful expression yet. Stronger, more commanding and infused with modern refinement, the new Bullet 650 remains deeply faithful to the character that has defined the nameplate for decades. In its latest 650cc form, the Bullet pays tribute to its impeccable British lineage and indomitable Indian soul, offering loyalists yet another compelling reason to celebrate Royal Enfield’s enduring legacy.
Speaking about the Bullet 650, B Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Limited and CEO – Royal Enfield, said: “For over nine decades, the Bullet has stood as a symbol of authenticity, resilience, and unmistakable character, defining Royal Enfield’s philosophy of Pure Motorcycling. With the all-new Royal Enfield Bullet 650, our approach was not to reinterpret the Bullet, but to elevate it with modernity and authenticity. Every element, from its proportions and silhouette to its stance and detailing has been carefully evolved to retain the pure essence and character of the iconic machine, while seamlessly integrating the power and refinement of the parallel twin 650cc platform. The interest since its global showcase at EICMA 2025 reaffirms how deeply the motorcycle resonates with the riders across the globe, proving it is the original icon of the motorcycling universe.”
At the heart of the new Bullet 650 lies Royal Enfield’s celebrated twin-cylinder platform, paired with a precise 6-speed gearbox that delivers smooth power delivery and effortless acceleration. Equally suited to relaxed highway cruising and spirited riding, the motorcycle promises a refined yet engaging riding experience.
The motorcycle is underpinned by a steel tubular spine frame and equipped with Showa suspension, engineered to deliver a composed and confident ride across varying road conditions. Retaining its traditional stance, the Bullet 650 rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, preserving the classic proportions that have long defined its commanding road presence.
Every design element carries forward the unmistakable Bullet DNA. The signature teardrop fuel tank, complete with its vintage-inspired winged badge, gleaming hand-painted pinstripes and timeless bench seat, preserves the silhouette that riders instantly recognise.
Further enhancing its unmistakable identity is the casquette-mounted LED headlamp, accompanied by the iconic “tiger-eye” pilot lamps – a distinctive Royal Enfield design feature dating back to 1954. Raised handlebars and an upright riding posture continue to reinforce the authoritative road presence that has become synonymous with the Bullet name.
Blending analogue charm with modern functionality, the instrument cluster incorporates a digital LCD display providing essential information including fuel level, trip meter, gear position indicator and service reminders.
The Bullet 650 will be offered in two striking colourways, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue, each accentuating the motorcycle’s muscular lines and unmistakably old-school character.
Royal Enfield will also offer an extensive range of Genuine Motorcycle Accessories, enabling riders to personalise their machines to suit individual riding styles, whether for everyday commutes or long-distance touring adventures.
