Zelio E-Mobility has announced a significant workforce expansion initiative as the fast-growing electric two and three-wheeler manufacturer gears up for the next stage of its growth journey. Having consistently doubled its growth year after year, the company is now strengthening its manufacturing, leadership, research and development, and sales capabilities to support expanding operations across its three major facilities in India.

At present, Zelio employs approximately 260 people across its manufacturing locations in Hisar, Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore. As part of its hiring strategy for the current financial year, the company aims to increase its total employee strength to more than 500.

Under the expansion programme, Zelio plans to recruit 100 employees in Hisar, 50 in Bhubaneswar and another 100 in Coimbatore. The Coimbatore facility, one of the company’s newest manufacturing establishments, is expected to account for a substantial share of the upcoming recruitment as it moves towards commissioning and operational scale-up.

The recruitment drive will focus on bolstering both operational and strategic functions across the organisation. Key appointments will include plant heads, R&D professionals, production planning specialists, quality experts and zonal sales leaders who will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growing footprint across key markets. Simultaneously, Zelio is expanding its service and after-sales capabilities to keep pace with its increasing dealer network and customer base.

Commenting on the development, Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO at Zelio E-Mobility, said, “Since the beginning, Zelio has always been a people-first company. We work with and in favor of our people. Wherever we enter, whether a state or a city, our focus is to create meaningful job opportunities and contribute to local employment. As we scale, this commitment remains at the core of everything we do. Our expansion is not only focused on manufacturing growth but also on building strong local ecosystems in each region we operate in, ensuring long-term value creation through employment and skill development.”

The hiring announcement comes on the back of a strong FY2025–26 performance for the company. Zelio E-Mobility reported revenue of INR 313.68 crore, representing an 81.8 per cent year-on-year increase from INR 172.19 crore in FY25. The company has remained profitable since inception and has delivered an approximate revenue CAGR of 121 per cent over the last four years.

The latest development also follows Zelio E-Mobility’s successful listing on the BSE SME platform in October 2025. Through its initial public offering, the company raised INR 78.34 crore, comprising a fresh issue of INR 58.84 crore and an offer for sale of 11.4 lakh shares valued at INR 15.50 crore. The IPO received an overall subscription of 1.5 times.

Supported by expanding manufacturing capabilities, a growing workforce and a dealer network of more than 400 outlets spread across over 25 states, Zelio continues to strengthen its position within India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape.

Looking ahead, the company has set its sights on expanding its retail footprint to more than 550 dealerships by FY27, with particular emphasis on strengthening its presence across South India and the North-Eastern region. As demand for electric mobility solutions continues to gather momentum, Zelio’s latest hiring initiative underscores its confidence in the sector’s long-term growth trajectory while reinforcing its commitment to employment generation, skill development and regional economic growth.
