Tata Power and TPEM inaugurate Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub


Strengthening India’s fast-growing electric mobility ecosystem, Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power), in partnership with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEM), has inaugurated Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub in Hyderabad. Strategically located in Hitech City, the new charging facility is designed to deliver faster, more reliable charging for a wide spectrum of EV users while reinforcing the region’s transition towards sustainable mobility.

Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power), one of India’s leading integrated power companies and the country’s foremost EV charging solutions provider, has joined hands with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEM), India’s largest four-wheeler electric vehicle manufacturer, to inaugurate Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub at iLabs Centre Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad.

Strategically positioned in the heart of Hitech City, the iLabs Centre Charging Hub has been developed to serve Hyderabad’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle community, including private vehicle owners, commercial fleet operators, ride-hailing services, intercity travellers and corporate commuters. As Hyderabad continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s fastest-growing technology and business hubs, the facility has been established to meet the rising demand for dependable, accessible and high-speed EV charging infrastructure, while supporting Telangana’s broader sustainability objectives.

The new MegaCharger Hub is equipped with a total charging capacity of 360 kW and features three 120 kW charging dispensers, enabling up to six electric vehicles to charge simultaneously. Operating round the clock, the facility is expected to significantly reduce charging times while delivering a seamless and dependable charging experience, setting a new benchmark for future-ready EV infrastructure in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, and Shri Gopalakrishnan VC, Director, Automotive and EV Sector, Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka, alongside representatives from Tata Power and Tata Motors.

The co-branded TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub forms part of the rapidly expanding TATA.ev MegaCharger network, the flagship charging initiative of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. Today, the network has more than 750 TATA.ev Mega charging points operational across key cities and highway corridors throughout India. Many of these charging locations are seamlessly accessible through the Tata Power EZ Charge App, which has over five lakh registered users.

Tata Power’s EV charging network now extends to more than 6,500 public charging points across over 700 cities and towns nationwide. The network spans highways, airports, workplaces, commercial destinations, residential communities and major transit corridors. In collaboration with leading automotive OEMs, the company has also installed more than 2.3 lakh home chargers, providing comprehensive charging solutions that enhance the EV ownership experience. As it continues to expand its charging footprint across strategically important locations throughout the country, Tata Power remains focused on accelerating India’s clean mobility transition while supporting the nation’s long-term energy transition and net-zero ambitions.
