Adventure touring has evolved far beyond covering long distances. It is now defined by intelligent engineering, uncompromising comfort and the confidence to venture wherever the road—or the absence of one—may lead. Ducati’s latest offering embodies precisely that philosophy. The newly launched 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally arrives in India as the brand’s most sophisticated long-distance adventure motorcycle yet, blending unmistakable Italian design with advanced rider assistance systems, MotoGP-derived engineering and exceptional touring capability.
Designed for riders who refuse to let geography dictate their journeys, the latest Multistrada V4 Rally refines every aspect of the adventure touring experience. From its distinctive styling and enhanced electronics to its evolved suspension technologies and powerful V4 engine, Ducati has engineered a motorcycle capable of excelling across highways, mountain passes and demanding off-road trails with equal confidence.
The Multistrada V4 Rally represents years of continuous development of Ducati’s acclaimed Multistrada V4 family. It builds upon the model that introduced the segment’s first MotoGP-derived V4 engine featuring a counter-rotating crankshaft, while also pioneering advanced radar-based rider assistance technologies including Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection.
Positioned as Ducati’s definitive long-distance adventure tourer, the Multistrada V4 Rally has established itself as a motorcycle created for riders seeking unrestricted exploration. Whether travelling solo or with a passenger, it has been developed to deliver maximum comfort, exceptional versatility and the confidence to tackle virtually any terrain.
Speaking on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, described the new Multistrada V4 Rally as the embodiment of Ducati’s adventure touring philosophy, combining advanced technology, exceptional performance and outstanding long-distance comfort. He added that India’s growing adventure touring community now has access to Ducati’s most capable adventure motorcycle, engineered to inspire limitless exploration while retaining the distinctive Ducati riding experience.
The 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally immediately distinguishes itself through two striking colour schemes—Jade Green and Ducati Red—both complemented by a brushed fuel tank that reinforces the motorcycle’s premium character.
Its styling is far more than aesthetic. Every design element serves a functional purpose. The commanding stance is complemented by a generous 30-litre fuel tank that significantly enhances touring range, while reinforced engine guards, long-travel suspension and lightweight tubeless spoked wheels underline the motorcycle’s genuine off-road credentials.
The larger touring screen, wider by 40 mm and taller by 20 mm compared with the standard Multistrada V4, improves wind protection for extended journeys. Passenger comfort has also received equal attention, with redesigned pannier mounts creating additional legroom and a robust die-cast top-case support adding reassurance during two-up touring.
Practicality is further elevated through the inclusion of a redesigned centre stand for easier lifting, while heated handgrips with five selectable temperature levels now feature as standard equipment.
One of the most significant developments for the 2026 model lies beneath its bodywork. The Multistrada V4 Rally features 200 mm of suspension travel managed by the latest Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. The updated semi-active suspension intelligently adapts to changing road conditions and individual riding styles, continuously adjusting hydraulic damping to deliver an optimal balance between comfort, stability and control.
Automatic suspension preload management continues to maintain ideal chassis balance regardless of whether the motorcycle is carrying only the rider, a passenger or additional luggage.
A new feature also allows riders to modify suspension response while riding independently of the selected Riding Mode, enabling a more relaxed touring setup or a firmer, more engaging configuration for spirited mountain roads.
Ducati’s racing expertise continues to influence the Multistrada V4 Rally through the introduction of the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO). Originally developed by Ducati Corse for MotoGP competition, the DVO algorithm significantly enhances electronic control precision by estimating the motorcycle’s position and mass using data equivalent to approximately 70 virtual sensors alongside information from the inertial platform.
This enables more accurate operation of systems including ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control, delivering greater stability and rider confidence across varying riding conditions.
The Electronic Combined Braking System has also evolved. It now intelligently manages braking force between the front and rear wheels while accounting for vehicle load. Alongside the traditional front-to-rear braking strategy, the system introduces rear-to-front brake intervention, reducing pitch under braking and improving passenger comfort during touring.
A larger 280 mm rear brake disc further enhances braking performance. The Multistrada V4 Rally expands Ducati’s already comprehensive radar-based safety package with the addition of Forward Collision Warning.
The system monitors potential frontal collision risks and alerts the rider through dashboard notifications, complementing existing radar-assisted rider aids.
Handling at low speeds has also become considerably easier through Ducati’s new Automatic Lowering Device. The motorcycle automatically lowers its ride height below 10 km/h to improve rider confidence during manoeuvring or stopping.
Once underway, the motorcycle automatically returns to its standard ride height beyond 50 km/h on the road or 20 km/h while riding off-road. Riders also retain the option of disabling the system whenever required.
Night-time riding receives additional enhancements through Ducati Cornering Lights and a revised headlight assembly that reduces shadow directly ahead of the front wheel. A practical Coming Home function keeps the low-beam headlamp illuminated briefly after the ignition is switched off, improving visibility after parking.
Technology extends beyond performance and safety. The updated 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument display features a redesigned user interface with improved suspension controls and easier navigation through menus.
Integration with the Ducati Connect app continues to provide map navigation while enabling riders to manage phone calls and music playback using a compatible helmet intercom.
The interface for heated grips and the optional heated seat has also been redesigned for greater ease of use.
At the heart of the Multistrada V4 Rally lies Ducati’s 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine.
Producing 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 123 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, the engine delivers strong yet exceptionally linear power across the rev range. Torque mapping tailored to each individual gear ensures smooth low-speed operation, strong mid-range performance and exhilarating top-end power.

Its MotoGP-derived counter-rotating crankshaft reduces gyroscopic forces, contributing to sharper handling while maintaining stability during spirited riding. Efficiency has also been enhanced through an extended rear-cylinder deactivation strategy that keeps the rear cylinder bank inactive while stationary and at low engine speeds, improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
Complementing the engine is Ducati’s new Quick Shift 2.0 system, which replaces the traditional microswitch arrangement with a strategy based on the gear shift drum’s angular position sensor. The result is a more direct shifting feel with shorter lever travel.
The Multistrada V4 Rally retains its lightweight aluminium monocoque frame paired with a double-sided cast aluminium swingarm featuring a repositioned higher pivot point.
This configuration improves anti-squat characteristics, resulting in greater chassis precision and stability, particularly when riding with luggage or a passenger.
The motorcycle rides on lightweight tubeless spoked wheels equipped as standard with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System that continuously displays tyre pressures on the TFT display.
Practical ownership remains another highlight. Ducati quotes maintenance intervals of 60,000 km for valve clearance checks and 15,000 km or 24 months for oil servicing, while the motorcycle is backed by a two-year warranty.
Ducati complements the Multistrada V4 Rally with an extensive range of factory accessories designed to further enhance touring capability.
Buyers can choose from multiple seat options, alternative windshields and additional luggage solutions including top cases, fuel tank bags and soft rear luggage.
The riding apparel collection has also been specifically developed for long-distance travel. The Tour Summer outfit offers removable sleeves, extensive ventilation and three-layer weather protection, while the Strada C5 outfit combines durable stretch fabric with removable thermal and waterproof layers for year-round riding comfort.
The 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally represents a comprehensive evolution of Ducati’s flagship adventure tourer rather than a simple model update. Every enhancement—from its purposeful new design language and intelligent chassis technologies to its MotoGP-derived engineering and sophisticated rider assistance systems—has been introduced with a clear objective: enabling riders to travel further with greater confidence, comfort and control.
With advanced electronics, refined touring ergonomics, impressive long-distance practicality and a powerful V4 engine at its core, the latest Multistrada V4 Rally stands as Ducati’s most technologically accomplished adventure motorcycle, created for riders who view every journey as an opportunity to explore beyond the ordinary.
The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is now available across Ducati dealerships in India.
