Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) has unveiled the all-new Nissan TEKTON at its World Premiere in India, signalling another significant step in the company’s ongoing product offensive. Introduced at an introductory price starting from INR 14.99 lakh for the T280 range and INR 10.49 lakh for the T160 range, the premium C-SUV enters one of India’s most fiercely contested segments with a compelling combination of performance, technology and practicality.

Positioned as the only SUV in its segment to offer a 100% turbocharged engine line-up across the range, the TEKTON also brings segment-leading 280Nm turbo performance, Google built-in connectivity and a class-leading 700-litre boot, underlining Nissan’s intent to elevate its presence in the premium SUV space.

Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai facility and developed under the brand’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, the TEKTON has been engineered not only for Indian customers but also for export markets across the Middle East and Africa. The strategy further reinforces India’s growing significance in Nissan’s global manufacturing and product roadmap.

Speaking at the World Premiere, Guillaume Cartier, Chief Performance Officer, Nissan, said, “We are building a stronger and more competitive Nissan in India. As we continue to strengthen our SUV-led portfolio and sharpen our market focus, the World Premiere of the all-new Nissan TEKTON reflects our ambition to combine global product strength with deep local relevance. TEKTON is a clear expression of how Nissan is transforming with purpose – towards a more competitive, future-ready portfolio.”

Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson, AMIEO Region, Nissan, added, “India is powering Nissan’s growth across markets and regions. TEKTON is a strong example of our ‘One Car, One World’ approach – a global product engineered through India, manufactured for Indian customers and developed for export markets across the region. It strengthens India’s role as a growth engine and SUV production hub for Nissan.”

The TEKTON also serves as Nissan’s flagship statement for its next chapter in India, designed to strengthen the marque’s SUV credentials while delivering a more premium, feature-rich and technology-led ownership experience.

Thierry Sabbagh, DVP-President, Middle East, KSA, India, CIS – Nissan and INFINITI, said, “TEKTON is a strong signal of our capability, bringing global SUV excellence to India. Following the launch of the all-new GRAVITE, the World Premiere of the all-new Nissan TEKTON accelerates our resurgence journey and strengthens our SUV portfolio in India. TEKTON combines bold design, premium features, advanced technology and strong SUV character in a way that aligns with evolving customer expectations.”

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Nissan Patrol, the TEKTON adopts a bold and unmistakable SUV identity. Sculpted body lines, muscular wheel arches, aero-tuned spoilers, flush roof rails, a full-width Patrol-inspired chrome accent grille, Double-C contrast skid plate and Signature C-Shaped 5-Chamber LED Connecting Headlamps create a commanding road presence. At the rear, SynchroFlow C-Shaped Connected LED Tail Lamps and the Majestic Himalayan Crest finished in piano black complete the distinctive exterior styling.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “Nissan’s resurgence in India is taking formidable shape, driven by a sharper product focus, network expansion and a deeper understanding of what Indian customers truly value. TEKTON is the flagship proof point of Nissan’s India resurgence. It has been crafted to deliver commanding presence, unmistakable luxury, intelligent technology, confident performance and everyday practicality in a package that is made in India and ready for the world.”

Inside, the cabin combines premium leatherette upholstery, soft-touch materials, bespoke stitching and Japanese craftsmanship in a tri-tone theme featuring beige, burgundy and rose gold accents. A rose gold horizontal double-bar finisher carrying the Nissan insignia enhances the premium ambience, while the driver-centric layout includes a double D-cut steering wheel, dual digital displays, an elevated centre console with Fly-by-Wire e-shifter and a comprehensive suite of electronic controls. Powered, ventilated and lumbar-adjustable Active Comfort Seats further enhance occupant comfort.

Practicality remains a major highlight, with 212mm ground clearance, best-in-segment approach and departure angles and a class-leading 700-litre boot designed to cater to family use, long-distance touring and everyday driving.

Power comes from two turbocharged petrol engines. The Turbo T160 has been developed for smooth everyday performance and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.4 kmpl. The more powerful Turbo T280 develops up to 163PS and 280Nm while returning a claimed 18.5 kmpl. Both engines feature Nissan GT-R-derived Mirror Bore Coating technology to reduce internal friction and improve efficiency. Transmission choices include a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The SUV also offers Dual-Drive Mode with dedicated mood lighting, Dual-Mode Steering, tuned shock absorbers and dual anti-roll bars for enhanced ride comfort and handling.

Technology forms another cornerstone of the TEKTON. The SUV features a 25.65cm (10.1-inch) Tek-Link HD infotainment system with Google built-in alongside a 26.03cm (10.25-inch) HD Digital Cockpit. With more than 55 connected features through the MyNISSAN App, customers gain access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play and over 200 compatible applications. The system also enables personalised Google account integration, allowing users to access individual settings and preferences seamlessly.

Additional premium features include an Infinity View panoramic sunroof, Intelligent Climate Control with voice-assisted dual-zone air conditioning, 48-colour personalised ambient lighting, an Arkamys 3D Auditorium Surround Sound System, an active-cooled wireless charger and a smart air purifier equipped with a Plasmacluster ioniser and AQI display.

Convenience has also been prioritised with a Smart Powered Tailgate featuring anti-pinch protection, Intelligent Access with Approach Unlock and Walkaway Lock, 360-degree Parking Assist, a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor and a suite of connected vehicle functions accessible through the MyNISSAN App.

Safety is equally comprehensive. The all-new TEKTON comes equipped with six airbags as standard, more than 40 standard safety features and a monocoque structure comprising 62% high-strength steel. Its advanced driver assistance package includes over 17 ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Driver Attention Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition. Customers can also personalise the ADAS suite by selecting the functions they wish to activate.

As Nissan expands its SUV portfolio, the all-new TEKTON stands as a globally engineered product with India at its heart. Built in Chennai for both domestic buyers and export markets under Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, the premium C-SUV further strengthens India’s position as a key manufacturing, export and strategic hub for the Japanese carmaker.
