Honda launches ZR-V e:HEV in India with 184 PS Hybrid powertrain

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has announced the launch, pricing and commencement of deliveries of the All-New Honda ZR-V e:HEV, marking a significant milestone in the company’s premium SUV journey in India. Positioned as Honda’s new flagship SUV offering in the country, the globally acclaimed hybrid model arrives as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) imported from Japan and has been introduced at an introductory price of INR 47,99,000* (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

The arrival of the Honda ZR-V e:HEV represents an important chapter for Honda in India, bringing one of its globally successful premium hybrid SUVs to discerning Indian customers. Since its global introduction in 2022, the model has achieved cumulative worldwide sales exceeding 8 lakh units, reflecting strong customer acceptance across international markets.

Developed around Honda’s global concept of “Unleash Your Potential”, the All-New ZR-V e:HEV has been engineered to offer freedom, confidence and driving pleasure through a combination of design excellence, refined comfort and engaging performance.

At the heart of the Honda ZR-V e:HEV lies Honda’s advanced 2.0-litre e:HEV Sports Hybrid system. The sophisticated hybrid architecture combines a 2.0-litre direct injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with Honda’s advanced dual-motor hybrid system and e-CVT transmission.

The powertrain produces a combined maximum power output of 184 PS at 5000–6000 rpm and maximum torque of 315 Nm at 0–2000 rpm. The SUV delivers an impressive fuel efficiency figure of 22.8** km/l, while accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

The intelligent hybrid system automatically switches between Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive modes, optimising performance and efficiency across urban roads, highways and varied driving conditions.

The design is enhanced by full-LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels and distinctive front and rear styling elements, giving the SUV a confident road presence while maintaining Honda’s globally recognised design language.

Inside, the ZR-V e:HEV offers a premium all-black interior featuring high-quality materials, leather upholstery and a driver-focused cockpit layout.

The cabin has been designed to provide a refined and comfortable experience, complemented by dual-zone climate control and thoughtful detailing throughout the interior.

The SUV combines premium aesthetics with practical usability through intelligent storage solutions, including multiple storage trays and pockets, large cup holders, spacious door pockets, a smartphone tray beneath the centre console and a centre console box capable of accommodating a tablet.

Rear occupants benefit from a fold-down armrest, while the 60:40 split-fold rear seats provide enhanced flexibility. With the second row folded flat, the ZR-V offers up to 1,313 litres of cargo space.

The luggage area further enhances practicality with fold-flat seats, a load partition, retractable parcel cover and under-floor storage. A low and wide boot opening along with a flat cargo floor makes loading larger or heavier items simpler and more convenient.

The Honda ZR-V e:HEV comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of technology features, including a 22.8 cm (9-inch) touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a 25.9 cm (10.2-inch) fully digital driver display, a 12-speaker Bose® premium audio system and wireless smartphone charging.

The lithium-ion battery receives an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty (whichever is earlier), while hybrid system components are covered for five years or 100,000 km (whichever is earlier).
