Highlighting the product’s strengths, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President – Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The exterior and interior of the all-new Hilux is designed under the “Tough & Agile” concept, combining “strength with agility”, emphasizing simplicity that is also powerful. Designed around the “Tough & Agile” philosophy, the all-new Hilux presents a bolder, more contemporary identity that successfully balances ruggedness with dynamic styling. Its commanding front fascia takes inspiration from the “Cyber Sumo” concept, reflecting the iconic pre-combat stance in sumo wrestling to convey the Hilux’s core attributes of stability, strength and resilience.
Further elevating its premium appeal are a newly designed front bumper with piano black accents, LED headlamps featuring a welcome function, LED fog lamps and distinctive daytime running lights. Alloy wheels, aerodynamic stabilising fins, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, LED rear combination lamps and a shark-fin antenna not only enhance the vehicle’s visual presence but also contribute to improved functionality and stability.
Powering the all-new Hilux is Toyota’s proven 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine, producing 150 kW and 500 Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the powertrain delivers robust performance while maintaining the reliability for which the Hilux nameplate is globally recognised.
Equipped with an 80-litre fuel tank, the latest Hilux has been engineered for long-distance endurance, offering refined acceleration, improved drivability and effortless performance across highways, city roads and challenging terrain alike.
Toyota’s legendary four-wheel-drive capability remains central to the Hilux experience. The advanced 4X4 system features both High (H4) and Low (L4) range, enabling the vehicle to confidently tackle diverse driving conditions. Off-road capability is further enhanced by the Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control (DAC).
The suspension setup comprises a double wishbone arrangement at the front and leaf springs at the rear, complemented by optimised braking performance for superior road grip and ride comfort. Combined with impressive approach and departure angles, together with Toyota’s renowned chassis engineering, the Hilux delivers reassuring stability, control and confidence across demanding landscapes.
Inside, the all-new Hilux has been designed to offer a premium, spacious and highly functional cabin environment. Soft-touch upholstery, metallic accents, practical storage spaces and an ergonomically designed cockpit create a refined ambience without compromising usability.
Comfort and convenience features include tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, power windows with jam protection, Smart Entry with Push Start/Stop, park assist, power steering, wireless charging, cruise control, rear armrest, PM2.5 air filtration and selectable Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes.
Technology takes centre stage with a new 12.3-inch infotainment display supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A new optitron metal-tone combimeter with illumination control further enhances the driver’s interaction with the vehicle.
Toyota’s i-Connect connected car technology delivers a more engaging ownership experience, while multi-information TFT displays, steering-mounted audio controls and voice recognition improve convenience. An eight-speaker audio system and intuitive digital interfaces ensure occupants remain connected, informed and entertained throughout every journey.
Toyota has equipped the all-new Hilux with a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety technologies. These include seven SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Brake Signal, ISOFIX child restraint anchorages and front seatbelts with force limiters.
The Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) body structure, speed-sensing door locks, panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) further enhance occupant protection and driver confidence across a wide range of driving conditions.
Toyota says customers will benefit from its robust Assured Service ecosystem, delivering seamless ownership, dependable after-sales support and greater peace of mind throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.
The all-new Hilux will be available in six exterior colour options, including Super White, Platinum Pearl White, Attitude Black+, Emotional Red, along with the newly introduced Sulphur Metallic+ and Ash.
