Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV), India’s leading manufacturer of Cars and SUVs, has announced a price increase of up to INR 25,000 across its portfolio, covering both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs). The revised prices take effect from 1 September 2026.

The extent of the increase will vary across individual models and variants, with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles maintaining that the overall value proposition of each offering will be preserved.

The latest price revision comes against the backdrop of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures. TMPV says it continues to absorb a significant portion of these increases, while a part of the impact is now being passed on to customers through the latest adjustment.

The move applies across the company’s passenger vehicle portfolio, encompassing both ICE-powered and electric models. However, the precise quantum of the increase will differ depending on the model and variant.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ latest pricing decision therefore represents a partial pass-through of higher costs, while the company continues to absorb a significant share of the underlying increase in its cost base.
