NEW DELHI/ BENGALURU
Greaves Electric Mobility has strengthened its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of the new Ampere Nexus EX+, introducing IoT-enabled Intellipack connectivity, a more powerful 5 kW motor and an IP65-rated water-resistant charger. Building on the Nexus platform’s proven performance and record-setting credentials, the new electric scooter combines enhanced performance, connected technology and greater everyday convenience for Indian riders.
The launch follows the Nexus platform’s achievement of an international record and six national records, further reinforcing its performance credentials. With the Nexus EX+, Ampere aims to deliver a more sophisticated ownership experience through a combination of improved rideability, durability and intelligent vehicle technology.
At the heart of the new offering is Intellipack, Ampere’s IoT-enabled intelligence and connectivity suite, accessible through the Ampere Connect App. With more than 30 intelligent features, the platform offers real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation, remote vehicle diagnostics, trip reports, ride statistics, charging history, energy insights, battery health score and service booking.
Ampere has introduced a two-variant strategy, allowing customers to choose between the value-focused Nexus EX+ and the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack for an enhanced connected ownership experience.
Powering the new electric scooter is a 5 kW motor that delivers peak torque of 202 Nm at the wheel. The Nexus EX+ accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 4.5 seconds, promising stronger pick-up and improved gradeability on steep inclines, flyovers and hilly terrain. The IP65-rated water-resistant charger further enhances convenience across varied weather conditions.
The Ampere Nexus EX+ is priced at INR 1,29,999, while the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack costs INR 1,35,999. Both variants are available in two premium colour options: Carbon Knight and Steel Grey. The electric scooters will be sold through Ampere dealerships nationwide.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “The Nexus has consistently demonstrated Ampere’s focus on purposeful innovation, durability and real-world performance. With the launch of the new Nexus EX+, we are strengthening this award-winning EV platform with IoT-enabled Intellipack, stronger performance and greater everyday confidence. Intellipack makes ownership smarter and more convenient, while the 5 kW motor enhances pick-up and gradeability across flyovers, hilly roads, pillion riding and load-bearing conditions. The IP65-rated charger further adds to the product’s reliability across varied weather conditions. This is another step in building electric scooters that are practical, resilient and aligned with the evolving needs of Indian riders.”
Underpinning the Nexus EX+ is next-generation LFP battery technology, designed for a long battery life of 2,00,000 km. Complemented by lower everyday running costs and a 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty, the battery proposition is intended to offer a compelling total cost of ownership advantage for customers transitioning from petrol scooters to electric mobility.
With its enhanced motor, connected features and long-life battery technology, the Ampere Nexus EX+ represents the brand’s continued effort to develop electric scooters suited to the evolving mobility needs of Bharat.
