Yokohama India introduces GEOLANDAR A/T with white-letter styling

Yokohama India has introduced the GEOLANDAR A/T with Outline White Letter styling in the Indian market, offering SUV and utility vehicle owners a more distinctive way to express their vehicles’ rugged character. The Made-in-India 15-inch all-terrain tyre combines the GEOLANDAR A/T’s established adventure-inspired appearance with contrasting white lettering on the sidewall, adding a more expressive visual element to its design.

Designed for a range of SUVs and utility vehicles, the 15-inch GEOLANDAR A/T is suited to models such as the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra Bolero. The new white-letter treatment lends the sidewall greater visual definition, reinforcing the association between SUVs, outdoor pursuits and an active motoring lifestyle.

Commenting on the introduction, Gaurav Mahajan, Head of Marketing and OE Sales, Yokohama India, said, “For today’s SUV owner, driving is increasingly part of a broader motoring lifestyle, where the vehicle reflects a sense of individuality, adventure and personal expression. The GEOLANDAR A/T is designed to complement that mindset, bringing a more distinctive and rugged character to the vehicle. It is for enthusiasts who see their SUV as more than a means of getting from one place to another, and want every element of it to reflect their passion for the road and the lifestyle that comes with it.”

The introduction also underscores the product’s transition towards domestic manufacturing. Previously available in India through imports, the GEOLANDAR A/T is now being manufactured at Yokohama India’s facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Local production marks an important development in the tyre’s availability in the Indian market, with the new Outline White Letter 15-inch variant currently offered in two sizes.

Looking ahead, Yokohama India is planning to broaden the locally produced GEOLANDAR A/T range with 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch sizes in 2027. The proposed expansion would extend the tyre’s availability across additional wheel-size categories, while building on the company’s existing domestic manufacturing operations.

With its white-letter sidewall treatment and locally manufactured offering, the GEOLANDAR A/T brings together distinctive styling and an adventure-oriented design for Indian SUV owners seeking to personalise their vehicles. The planned expansion of the range in 2027 will be the next development in Yokohama India’s approach to the GEOLANDAR A/T portfolio.
