Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) hosted a town hall at its Gurugram headquarters, featuring José Muñoz, President & CEO of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC). The event provided HMIL employees a direct platform to engage with Muñoz, who shared Hyundai’s global vision and growth strategy for India. Muñoz highlighted HMC’s commitment to HMIL, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and excellence. He underscored Hyundai’s customer-centric approach and the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and service in a rapidly changing business environment. Muñoz reaffirmed HMC’s continued support for HMIL’s efforts to contribute to India’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’ In his address, Muñoz praised HMIL for its record performance, noting that it is India’s second-largest passenger vehicle maker and the third-largest market in Hyundai’s global operations. He also emphasized the company’s plans to expand its electric vehicle (EV) offerings in India, aligning with HMC’s global target of selling 2 million EVs by 2030. HMIL’s new manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra, was highlighted as key to enhancing production capacity to meet rising domestic demand and cement India’s role as a global manufacturing hub.
