Mahindra delivers 3,000 All-Electric Origin SUVs Nationwide

MUMBAI
Mahindra has reached a significant milestone in its electric mobility journey, announcing the delivery of over 3,000 units of its all-electric Origin SUVs—the XEV 9e and BE 6—since the rollout began on March 20, 2025. The company reported an enthusiastic market reception for its new electric SUV lineup. Both the XEV 9e and BE 6 have seen strong booking momentum, with most buyers selecting the top-tier Pack Three variant. Current booking patterns show a 59% preference for the XEV 9e and 41% for the BE 6. Due to the high demand, waiting periods have extended up to six months in certain regions. Mahindra says it is “actively scaling up deliveries nationwide to reduce wait times and ensure a seamless ownership journey.” As part of its customer-centric EV strategy, Mahindra has introduced a new ‘Default’ drive mode aimed at easing the transition for new EV users. “Designed especially for first-time EV adopters, this mode offers a driving feel akin to internal combustion vehicles—making the transition to electric smoother, more natural, and instantly comfortable,” the company stated.
