Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd., a leading Indian automotive components manufacturer, has announced its acquisition of International Automotive Components Group Sweden AB (IAC Sweden), a well-established manufacturer of automotive interior systems and components. With an approximate turnover of $800 million, IAC Sweden is recognized for its quality solutions for the automotive industry.This strategic acquisition marks a significant step for Tata AutoComp in reinforcing its presence in Sweden and strengthening its relationships with key European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in both the passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle segments. The move further broadens Tata AutoComp’s global footprint, solidifying its position as one of India’s largest automotive component manufacturers while enhancing its influence in Europe’s automotive sector.The acquisition of IAC Sweden offers strong synergy potential, enabling Tata AutoComp to leverage advanced manufacturing capabilities, state-of-the-art technology, and established customer relationships in the premium automotive space.The deal is subject to regulatory approvals in Europe.Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, stated, “This acquisition is a pivotal step in Tata AutoComp’s journey to enhance our global presence and technology portfolio.”
