The new RAPID 1.0 TSI, new SUPERB and the all-new KAROQ premiere at the first ever ŠKODA AUTO India Virtual Conference

The pioneering ŠKODA AUTO India Virtual Conference witnessed the unveiling of the new RAPID 1.0 TSI, the luxurious new SUPERB as well as the newest member of its SUV family: the all-new KAROQ at a starting price of INR 7.49 lacs, INR 29.99 lacs and INR 24.99 lacs respectively. ŠKODA AUTO India put forth its powertrain and fuel strategy in view of the Bharat Stage 6 emission norms and safety standards while demonstrating a new range of Turbocharged Stratified Injection (or TSI) engine options: 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI. The ŠKODA RAPID will house the new 1.0 TSI petrol engine with a power output of 110 PS (81 kW) and a fuel efficiency of 18.97 kmpl. The SUPERB range, Laurin & Klement and SportLine, will house the new 190 PS (140 kW) 2.0 TSI petrol engine that accelerates from a standstill to a 100 km/h in mere 7.7 seconds and has a top speed of 239 km/h. The all-new KAROQ will house the new 150 PS (110 kW) 1.5 TSI petrol engine mated with an automatic seven speed DSG gearbox delivering a fuel efficiency figure of 16.95 kmpl (high phase WLTP) and a top speed of 202 km/h.
