JK Tyre unveils India’s First Embedded Smart Tyres for Passenger Vehicles

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd has taken a bold stride into the future of connected mobility with the launch of India’s first Embedded Smart Tyres for the passenger vehicle segment. This innovation — designed, developed, and manufactured entirely in-house — heralds a new era in intelligent and sustainable driving.

Engineered at JK Tyre’s state-of-the-art Banmore facility in Madhya Pradesh, the next-generation tyres come equipped with advanced sensors embedded within the tyre structure. These sensors continuously monitor vital parameters such as air pressure, temperature, and potential air leaks, transmitting real-time, actionable data to the driver. The result: a safer, more efficient, and more intelligent drive.

The Embedded Smart Tyres will be available through JK Tyre’s extensive aftermarket dealership network, initially in sizes ranging from 14 to 17 inches.

Beyond safety, the embedded technology is engineered to deliver longer tread life, enhanced fuel efficiency, and a smaller environmental footprint, aligning perfectly with JK Tyre’s focus on sustainability and innovation.

This latest breakthrough builds upon the company’s pioneering SMART Tyre technology, first introduced in 2019 with TREEL sensors. That innovation combined Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) with cloud-based analytics, providing customers with real-time data and predictive insights. With the embedded smart tyres, JK Tyre elevates this concept further — integrating intelligence seamlessly within the tyre itself.
