Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV) is preparing to take Kinetic EV beyond India, with the electric two-wheeler maker evaluating opportunities across seven international markets as it builds the next phase of its growth strategy.

The company is assessing Turkey as a key European opportunity, alongside Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in neighbouring markets, and Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt in Africa. The international expansion comes on the back of growing momentum for Kinetic EV in India, as the company looks to take its electric mobility proposition to markets with strong potential for electric two-wheelers.

Kinetic Watts & Volts is currently evaluating market opportunities, regulatory environments, customer requirements and potential partnerships across these markets, with a focus on establishing a sustainable international business.

The overseas push comes as Kinetic EV continues to strengthen its domestic network. The company currently has 45 exclusive showrooms operational across India, with another 40 outlets expected to become operational over the next two months. Kinetic Watts & Volts has also issued 150 Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its exclusive dealership network, signalling strong interest from prospective partners and growing confidence in the Kinetic EV proposition.

The company is simultaneously laying the groundwork for its international business, with the selected markets being assessed for their electric two-wheeler potential, evolving EV ecosystems and opportunities to establish the right distribution and partner network.

To spearhead this international expansion, Mr. Makarand Joshi has joined Kinetic Watts & Volts to lead international business development. He brings more than two decades of experience in developing international markets for Indian automotive products, with experience across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. His background spans two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors, as well as international market development, business expansion and distribution network development.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd., said, “Kinetic Watts and Volts has always been a brand built around innovation, accessibility and a deep understanding of the evolving needs of mobility. As we enter the next phase of our electric mobility journey, international markets represent an important opportunity for Kinetic Watts & Volts. Our products are built in India for the world, with a strong focus on delivering accessible, reliable and contemporary electric mobility solutions that can cater to diverse markets. We are now focused on identifying the right markets, partnerships and opportunities to take the Kinetic EV proposition global.”

He further added, “Our domestic expansion provides a strong foundation for this next phase. With 45 exclusive showrooms already operational, another 40 expected to come online in the next two months and 150 Letters of Intent issued, we are seeing encouraging interest in the Kinetic EV proposition. As we scale our presence in India, we are simultaneously building the capabilities, partnerships and market understanding required to establish Kinetic as a global electric mobility brand.”
