Mercedes-Benz expands luxury SUV portfolio with new GLE and GLS Night Editions in India

India’s most desirable luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz, has announced the introduction of the GLE and GLS Night Editions in India, adding a more exclusive and visually distinctive character to its highest-selling luxury SUV range. Offered as part of a global limited series, both the GLE Night Edition and GLS Night Edition will be available in restricted volumes across international markets, further reinforcing their exclusivity and collector appeal.

Positioned as bespoke interpretations of the standard SUVs, the Night Editions arrive with unique configurations that will not be replicated on regular variants. The introduction reflects the growing appetite among Mercedes-Benz customers for greater personalisation and exclusivity within the luxury vehicle space.

Both SUVs adopt a darker and more assertive visual identity, underlined by two exterior paint finishes — Obsidian Black and Alpine Grey. Significantly, Alpine Grey remains exclusive to the Night Edition line-up, lending these models a more individualistic and distinctive road presence.

Inside the cabin, the Night Editions receive a carefully curated interior treatment that elevates the sense of luxury and craftsmanship. Black Nappa leather upholstery combines with Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim elements, both exclusive to the Night Edition models and absent from the standard SUV configurations. Mercedes-Benz has also equipped both models with a Head-Up Display as standard equipment.

The GLE Night Edition further distinguishes itself with the inclusion of AIRMATIC suspension, introducing enhanced ride comfort and air-suspended refinement that sets it apart from the standard GLE range. In addition, the GLE line-up will now feature a Head-Up Display across its variants.

The GLE has consistently remained a strong performer in Mercedes-Benz India’s core luxury SUV segment, cultivating substantial customer loyalty across the country. Building upon this established success, the GLE Night Edition introduces a sportier and more expressive exterior treatment centred around the black-themed aesthetic, complemented by the exclusive Alpine Grey paint option.

The addition of AIRMATIC suspension further elevates the driving experience, delivering an added layer of ride sophistication and comfort that enhances the SUV’s premium appeal.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition

As Mercedes-Benz India’s flagship luxury SUV and the highest-selling model within the top-end luxury SUV segment, the GLS occupies a significant position in the brand’s Indian portfolio. With the Night Edition, Mercedes-Benz extends its limited-edition design philosophy to the GLS, amplifying its commanding road presence through the darker exterior styling theme.

The larger proportions of the GLS lend added visual authority to the blacked-out design treatment, while the black Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim further enrich the cabin’s premium ambience and exclusivity.
